Places with highest daily reported cases per capita
Seven-day average of daily new reported cases per 100,000 residents

Number of new cases have peaked. But usually it takes 14-21 days for deaths to decline after the peak in new cases.
The three peaks that you see on the graphs are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. There is what looks like a decrease in the general situation but it is really a return to a less-peak condition.

I looks like the daily cases have entered a down phase. I hope it continues. The daily deaths, even though they are wildly erratic, are also on a down trend.
