I’ve almost come to the conclusion at this point “If you can’t beat em, join em.” I have absolutely no need for a stimulus check, my income hasn’t been impacted in the least by COVID (in fact it’s gone up a bit this year). But if democrats (and quite a few Republicans) are determined to hasten the inevitable financial collapse and turning the US into Greece, then who am I to argue? Heck why stop at $1,400 let’s make it $10,000! Better yet, lets make it $10,000 a month for the next year!

Too many retired folks {like me} will receive the money, but don't need it to get by.

Everyone can always find a use for extra bucks, but what does that have to do with covid, and how will this fix anything?

Why is it my neighbor's responsibility to pay tax on his labor, so I can get a gummint check based on covid?

I will keep the money, but it is a waste of resources.

They need to act, Biden's plan to vaccinate 100 million new people is already down by 30% so herd immunity has been postponed until they cn send out more money. Fauci was on every channel Sunday "clarifying" the promise to get 1 million new people vaccinated in the first 100 days. You see, Biden didn't mean that, he meant that included in this figure would be the 30 million people Trump already vaccinated with a first dose and they were ALREADY SCHEDULED to receive their 2nd dose - so he really will only vaccinate around 70 million - just a little fuzzy math from the cognitively challenged.

I am wondering how many of the new $1,400 “payments” the treasury will have to demand be taken as “tax credits” because it is already running short on cash.

I think that is where my $600 payment is - in a tax credit I will have to take on my 2020 tax filing.
