WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden and the new Democratic Congress were just sworn in, but the clock has already started on the 2022 midterm elections, when voters will decide if the president gets more than two years to advance his agenda with a friendly Congress.
Democrats have to defend a narrow 221-211 majority in the House (218 seats are needed for control) and the 50-50 Senate, where losing even a single seat will cost the party the chamber.
History is not on their side. Americans typically put a check on power, and the president's party has lost House seats in nearly every midterm since the 1930s. They typically suffer big losses in their first midterm.
"In 2020, House Republicans won 28 out of the 29 most competitive districts by highlighting the exact job-killing policies Joe Biden has enacted during his first week in office," said Michael McAdams, spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee, the campaign arm of the House GOP. "If House Democrats thought 2020 was bad, they aren't the slightest bit prepared for what the 2022 cycle has in store."

Meanwhile, in the Senate, the map is set. Democrats have to defend Sens. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., and Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., who just won special elections, but have to run again to seek a full six-year term. They also have senators up for re-election in New Hampshire and Nevada, which Biden carried only narrowly.
On the Republican side, Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey is retiring, leaving behind an open seat in a state Biden carried. Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, a staunch conservative, is up for re-election in another Biden state. And the GOP will have to defend seats in battleground North Carolina and Florida as well.

Notice that the author called Wisconsin a Biden state. We all know what he meant, but if you’ve read Peter Navarro’s report, or have spent time in the War Room, you know that Wisconsin is a Trump state.
First - Many of the so called Repubs are infiltrated Dems. Secondly - elections are rigged and cannot be policed nor will any republican win again so they have a majority. Think about it!
They will make sure 2022 is not a repeat of 2020.
They will cheat at all levels of government next time.

What the left has done, ever since the 1984 Reagan-Mondale blowout-(and Mondale was a “moderate” !)-is to start electoral fraud programs in the largest states to turn them from Red-to-Purple-to Blue. They realized they had no future otherwise. It started in California and New York
This last election cycle local Texans managed to turn it around at the precinct level-their Rhino Governor not withstanding
Extreme involvement in your local precincts and making sure paper balloting on ELECTION DAY, with hand counts and recounts in a transparent fashion and setting with open audit trails available to the general public, among other measures-are key.

The left has focused on corrupting this process-which originates in the deep urban centers. The process is very active presently in Georgia, using Atlanta as its base, the last 2 election cycles. This process is seditious.

I think it is time to put some pressure on republicans in the house to start looking at checking her power. Something needs to be done or we need to have something waiting in a desk drawer.
We scream about term limits, maybe the Speakership needs to have term limits. Re-elected no more than once.

That’s cool, and all possible. But sorry, this is cart before the horse. The republicans are not the fix. What’s the point of putting Mitch and McCarthy and Cheney and Graham and Romney back in charge?

No return to the idea that republicans get a core because they suck 10% less. There is still the issue of them betraying us that has to be fair with first. And that’s very real. The GOP bastards went too far this time.
Marco Rubio is up for re-election, but I think it will be no contest, since Ron DeSantis is up for re-election as Governor. I think Wisconsin will be in the R and Pennsylvania, if the get someone with a backbone who will be a strong Conservative,, will keep PA in the GOP. Now NV, GA and AZ could flip to the R... maybe a few others too...

In 2018 Lou Barletta, a strong Conservative, ran against democrat Bob Casey Jr. Casey won with 56% of the votes to Barletta's 43%.
In 2022, the RINO PA Senator Toomey will not seek reelection. If the RNC and PA-RC cannot stop Philly and Pittsburgh cheating and they run another incompetent Senate campaign in 2022, PA will have 2 dem senators.
The sad fact is that 2020 showed the PA republican controlled state legislature is impotent in stopping dem cheating.

There’s a good idea. Of course we did do this when we asked them to please stop the stolen takeover of our presidential election and they allowed it anyway.

"In the face of arms, the laws fall silent". Cicero said this during a time of civil unrest in Rome, with armed gangs competing for power. When judges have to worry about being attacked by mobs for making the "wrong" decision, then there is no more "rule of law".

We are often amazed at them pulling out some sort of bill or in the case this past week...feeding Biden Executive Orders to sign that he doesn’t even know what he is doing...
What do Republicans have in their back pockets? Nothing.
There were House Republicans that did want an investigation into the election issue. Sure some back-peddled afterwards, but what is happening with the others? We need to target them with a few key points.

Someone came up out of our ranks (by my above definition) who has the will, the means and tge grace to get it done. We elect him a second time by in much greater numbers and a very high margin more than before.
Our congress, both houses, Supreme Court and state legislators-they more than anyone- let us down. Betrayed us and the constitution, actually, which is where the high crimes and misdemeanors really exist.
Our job continues to be to hold the line. We can do that. Any time one of my suburban women friends, fair weather conservative, says ‘Trumps big mouth did this‘, I say no. People voted for him in hugely greater numbers second time around after they got to know him
When they say the fraud was a myth I say no it was not. Trump got 74 million votes. There is no way biden did anything close to winning the most votes of any pres candidate in history

Exactly. She & her then partner in crime, Harry Reid, engineered the sequential presidential qualifications for office of 1) John McCain and 2) Barak Obama. Both had dubious claims for ‘natural born’ status. (Though I think McCain’s was on more solid ground as the child of a serviceman serving overseas. But that was just greasing the skids for Obama’s more problematic finding.)
