Do you know where Plutonium is mined? I believe a very old Earth is the greater story. Having a patient God waiting all that time for men to appear displays an interest much bigger than just working 7 days on the project.

There is no time to God. Time is an invention of His which He is outside of. He can see the beginning and the end at once. I think that time in the terms that we understand it is utterly meaningless to him. For Him Time would begin when His Word was upon the earth and recorded and understood by at least one man.
