Actress Tanya Roberts, who starred in the TV sitcom That '70s Show and the 1985 James Bond movie A View to Kill, has died at age 65 from a urinary tract infection (UTI) that spread to other parts of her body.
The sad news came after a bizarre turn of events. TMZ initially reported, via Roberts' publicist Mike Pingel, that the star collapsed at home on Christmas Eve after walking her dogs. She was then taken to the hospital and put on a ventilator, according to the news outlet, but never recovered and died on Sunday (January 3). Roberts' husband of 18 years, Lance O'Brien, told the outlet he was unable to visit her in the hospital because of COVID-19 restrictions, but hospital staff made an exception when they realized the actress probably wouldn't survive. He believed Roberts died during his visit, and relayed the news to Pingel.
But on Tuesday, Pingel confirmed that Roberts actually died on Monday night. In a statement to Metro.co.uk, he said, "With a heavy heart I can confirm the death of Tanya Roberts (age 65) last night on January 4, 2021 around 9:30pm PT at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA."
The rep also confirmed that Roberts' cause of death was "a urinary tract infection which spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver and then bloodstream."

I lost a good friend to it last year . She wouldn’t go to the doctor .
Well, ain’t that a pisser!
I almost died from a UTI in my mid 40’s. Got a UTI and the Dr. gave me an antibiotic which helped initially, but then it got bad again. In the meantime I got a strep infection and then pneumonia. I was never so sick in my entire life and the Dr. said it was a good thing that I went to the ER when I did. I spent three days in the hospital with antibiotic IV’s continuously and was sent home with an antibiotic. It took me about four months to feel better again. Unfortunately I get two or three UTI’s a year.
The Dude abides.
When we cruise, if a port has a pharmacy right off the ship, I buy Cipro to have around just in case I can’t get to a doctor quickly. A UTI can cause major problems in artificial joints if the infection gets there, and I have two artificial hips.

Found it on YouTube, in English with Spanish subtitles.

Sepsis nearly killed me.
My older sister has had long standing urinary problems. Mostly bladder infections that are drug resistant.
In 2009 she got sepsis from a UTI and almost died. Spent a week in ICU then a couple of months in rehab after they released her from the hospital.
She takes antibiotics on a regular basis to keep it tamped down but sometimes has relapses. She starts having halucinations and gets very weak.
She is 81 with multiple health problems, but the UTIs are the most frightening.
Never mind about that movie I earlier recommended, Tourist Trap. It’s more disturbing than I remembered.
Yup. I see all the time in the ER I work in. I feel so bad for the poor dears.
MRSA is a nasty one. So is C.Diff.
I think she was a diabetic. Her partner stated in some article he just thought she had a blood sugar issue and would be fine like always. Like it had happened before.
Cremation is not allowed under Jewish law. Robert’s was Jewish.

Many people are just to damn afraid to go to the hospital now because of CV19 the damn media has half the population scared to death. I BLAME the media for a hell of a lot of deaths going on right now people not seeking medical attention when needed!! Just chalk the deaths up to Covid!! WELL their SAVIOR is now in office so just watch the numbers come crashing down!!!
I know the hospital/dr visit numbers are way down.
They are advertising like crazy around here.
Obviously business (revenue) has fallen off significantly.
I’m sure you are right. It’s insane.
All in the name of getting a corrupt senile puppet for China in the WH.
I am literally looking into leaving the country.
