January 20th is past, and Joe Biden, not Donald Trump, is the President of the United States. To all those who prophesied that Trump would serve a second consecutive term and assured us that he would be inaugurated on the 20th, I appeal to you in the strongest possible terms: admit your error, take full responsibility, and do not, under any circumstances, continue to put a false hope into the hearts of God’s people.
What you prophesied did not come to pass.
There is not an alternative, spiritual reality in which Trump is still functioning as president.
Nothing is going to change in a month or a year.
It’s over.
Even if there was massive electoral fraud, the results of this election will not be overturned.
Donald Trump will not serve a second, consecutive term.
Face the facts, be accountable before God and man, take the hits that will be coming, and humble yourself before the Lord and His people.
This is not the time for excuses. This is not the time to concoct spiritual myths. And this is absolutely not the time to blame others.
If you prophesied falsely, you and you alone are to blame.
Maybe you did not intend to mislead.
Maybe you were acting in sincerity and integrity, truly believing the Lord had spoken and doing your best to stand firm in faith no matter what. After all, you thought to yourself, isn’t that what faith does?
Maybe you were so grieved over where the radical left was going that you prophesied what you desired, namely, the reelection of Trump.
Maybe you sensed God’s intent, namely that if Trump would repent of his pride and the church would repent of looking to him in an idolatrous way, God would give him four more years.
Maybe you got caught up in the power of the group, finding affirmation in others saying the same things.
Maybe you prophesied what your people wanted to hear, subconsciously tickling their itching ears.
Maybe you got caught up in a partisan political spirit.
Maybe you looked to Trump as a political messiah and God answered you out of the idolatry of your own heart.
Or maybe you fell prey to demonic deception.
Whatever the cause, you prophesied falsely, and now you need to own it. The last thing you should do is feel sorry for yourself and claim that you are being persecuted. Quite the contrary. The reality is that you have misled many.
As a result of your false prophecies, many believers are experiencing a crisis of faith right now. Who will be there to pick up the pieces?
After all, they wonder, how could all the prophets be wrong? (To the extent that you urged your hearers to hold on to the very end, to that extent you are responsible for bringing them to this point of crisis.)
Worse still, some of you issued prophetic threats to those who questioned your words, telling them they had to “believe the prophets” or else. And you did this while claiming to speak directly for God.
The Lord does not take it lightly when His people are abused like this. He will hold you responsible for misrepresenting Him.
So many of God’s people are hurting, and the world is mocking us, thinking that our faith in Jesus is just as false as these failed Trump prophecies.
One young man posted online that he had been telling his family, none of whom were believers, that Trump would be reelected, based on the words of the prophets. He thought it would glorify the Lord when Trump was miraculously inaugurated. Now, he said, he doesn’t think he can ever talk to them about the Lord again.
Do we realize the damage that has been done?
One woman who falsely claims to be a prophet said that God has been making a list, noting who is listening to the prophets and who is not. Those who are not, she warns – claiming to speak for the Lord – will lose their voice and their ministries.
This is deep deception and serious spiritual manipulation.
If God is making a list it is a list of those who misled His sheep. A list of those who threatened His children if they failed to “believe the prophets.” A list of those who brought dishonor to the name of His Son.
Now is the time to repent, openly, publicly, and forthrightly.
Now is the time to find accountability from other leaders in the Body who did not fall into this same error.
Now is the time for some serious soul-searching.
It’s what the Bible calls bringing forth fruits worthy of repentance. This is no small thing.
If you continue to prophesy falsehoods and assure your followers that Biden will soon be replaced by Trump (and I don’t mean in 2024), I warn you that you are moving into complete spiritual fantasy and leading others with you. Careful!
The reality is that I’m writing all this as a charismatic leader rather than as a charismatic basher, as a proponent of prophetic ministry rather than as an opponent. I’m writing as a friend, not an enemy.
In fact, it is a holy jealousy that drives me – jealousy for the honor of Jesus’ name, jealousy for the health of His flock, and jealousy for the purity of prophetic ministry.
I also write out of a holy jealousy for your own ministry and calling.
All of us can make mistakes, even serious ones like this. Our God is a God of forgiveness, and redemption is the central message of our faith. You can come out of this closer to Jesus, deeper in the Word, godlier in character, and more in tune with the Spirit. And to the depth of your humility, to that degree the Lord will restore and rebuild.
But please, I appeal to you again.
Don’t blame others. Don’t make excuses. And don’t perpetuate any further spiritual fantasy. It’s over.
Now, what are you going to do?
So he was pro-Trump after November, 2016, and is once again a rabid anti-Trumper? Sounds like someone I would never buy a used car from.
RE:L So he was pro-Trump after November, 2016, and is once again a rabid anti-Trumper?
Where in this article does it show that he is a rabid anti-Trumper?
1. He was pro-Trump AFTER Trump showed the kind of President he is.
2. He voted for Trump TWICE, yes even in November 2016.
3. In this article, he never said that he was against Trump. He was against preachers presumptiously telling people that God gave them the message that Trump was going to win a second term in November 2020, which DID NOT HAPPEN ( yes, yes we know that it was because of massive fraud, but still THEIR PROPHECIES DID NOT COME TRUE, Trump is not president today ).
RE: Looks like the demonic Michael Brown wrote this trash after inhaling Timothy Leary’s secret magic mushroom stash.
Which part of this article is demonic trash? Can you copy and paste that portion IN CONTEXT?
RE: Not when Brown says “Nothing is going to change in a month or a year; it’s over”, implying something far different from what you’re saying,
But he did not use the words — I HAVE A MESSAGE FROM GOD. Or God told me ( which many of these “church prophets” claim ). He is giving his own OPINION, and if you were to ask him, he will be the first to tell you that it is just that - an opinion which could be wrong.
How do you know that? I’ve heard him on the radio countless times and I know how he reacts to callers.
STFU!
RE: STFU!
Only if the post is UNREASONABLE.
“Which part of this article is demonic trash? Can you copy and paste that portion IN CONTEXT?”
You’ve been posting leftist crap on FR for years and defending it.
Nothing else needs to be known. Anyone can look at your posting history to verify what I said.
RE: You’ve been posting leftist crap on FR for years and defending it.
Again, I asked you to show me which part of the article is “demonic” or “leftist”.
It would have been an easy thing for you to select the damning portion IN CONTEXT. But you haven’t done it.
My posting history is EASY to see because Most of them DEFEND conservatism and Trump’s policies. You haven’t got a solid leg to stand on in your above accusations. I have been posting here for more than a decade.
I highly doubt that you even read the article or tried to understand what the write was trying to say.
President Trump himself prophisied that the election would be stolen and yea verily it happened with not much resistance.
Job 3:25
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me
One doesn’t have to use those words to assume the mantle of prophet, although they certainly do make one accountable to God. One merely has to claim to predict future events—and Brown is predicting that “(n)othing is going to change in a month or a year; it’s over” with respect to unseating Biden the usurper and restoring the Presidency to its rightful holder (never mind other politicians who got their seats via fraud).
Thank you for that.
RE: One doesn’t have to use those words to assume the mantle of prophet, although they certainly do make one accountable to God.
Disagree. If this were so, then we have many opinionated people in this forum ( whether they are Christian or not ) who regularly predict the future.
One does not have to say — GOD TOLD ME, to predict the future based on best guess, based on the circumstances, the events, the attitude of people around him. If one is humble enough to say to himself — “Yes, this is what I believe will happen, but I could be wrong”, that is NOT assuming the mantle of God.
I regularly monitor my investments and “predict” the course of the financial instruments that me and my family ( extended ones ) and friends own. I “predict” the future and act on this “prediction” ( note the quotes ) by re-re-arranging my portfolio and advising them to do the same based on my reasoning, but I do not claim that God told me this, and neither do I tell people in church what I do. And yes, I admit that this is my best guest and I could be wrong.
This is different from OPENLY TELLING EVERYONE that God told me this will happen.
That doesn’t make me a false prophet.
Red herring. A minuscule number of them claim to have ministerial qualifications as Dr. Brown does. Also, Brown puts special focus on January 20 whereas those who he appears to be criticizing may or may not have. He also says “Donald Trump will not serve a second, consecutive term” while using the comma, which implies neither second nor consecutive.
RE: A minuscule number of them claim to have ministerial qualifications as Dr. Brown does. Also, Brown puts special focus on January 20 whereas those who he appears to be criticizing may or may not have.
1) Just be cause he has ministerial qualifications does not necessarily mean that everything he says is from God, not especially when he never claims this.
2) A Minister can have opinions like any lay person.
And his prediction was CORRECT. Trump is NOT serving a second, consecutive term. I don’t know if he is predicting anything about 2024, but either way, he never said “GOD TOLD HIM SO.”. In this, he is NOT acting like a prophet but simply making a personal prediction. And in this, he was right.
So you deem yourself a Prophet?
All correct, but he is presenting his own prophecy in the words he speaks, which you are acknowledging. However, he is tying it to the date of 01/20/2021, which those he intends to criticize do not necessarily do; and he is predicting that the usurpation (which he barely acknowledges) will not be reversed, by saying “it’s over”.
RE: but he is presenting his own prophecy in the words he speaks, which you are acknowledging.
A personal prediction is NOT a prophecy. A prophecy will always be prefixed by — “God revealed to me”, or “Thus sayeth the Lord”. Brown never said that God told him anything.
Now, if you are saying that those who predict that Trump will be President are saying that he will still be in the future, then I admit that Brown is saying too much. Nobody knows what will happen in 2024. And if they are predicting that Trump will be President BEFORE 2024 because of some unforseen events that God plans to create, I have NOT heard any “prophet” actually make these predictions. All I have seen and heard so far are for January 20,2021.
And yes, I can tell you that I personally have heard a few “prophets” in church who assured their congregation that Trump will be president on January 20,2021,not Joe Biden.
These are false prophets and Brown’s message is appropriate for such “prophets”.
RE: So you deem yourself a Prophet?
NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Dr. Brown’s “personal prediction” is presented by him as having the weight of a prophecy, particularly since his target is who he deems false prophets; no such thing needs to be claimed to have been from God. Nowhere in his screed does he show any doubt in it or indicate that it can/will fail, particularly in the timeline he presents or the words he uses (such as “a month … a year … it’s over”, very absolute terms).
I certainly do agree on the matter of those that set dates. That has always been the mark of a false prophet.
