RE: Can I point out two things, please: (1) the original poster of this obscene thread has abandoned you, and if he had any sense he would ask Jim to yank this thread, because I'm going to keep posting Michael Brown's screeching anti-Trump diatribes; and (2) I could care less about whatever you are asking me. Thanks.

I have other things to do than to sit all day looking at this thread. But I am the ORIGINAL POSTER of this thread.

I did notice that ALL of the quotes you posted were BEFORE the November 2016 elections. That was the time when MANY people ( FReepers included ) had RESERVATIONS about Donald Trump.

Here are some of Dr. Michael Brown's notable articles SUPPORTING TRUMP ( Much later than the 4 year old articles you posted. I provided the links and you can see the DATES of the articles yourselves. They were written LONG AFTER Trump was elected and has shown us his record as President. ):

To compare Trump to Hitler is to insult the American people

But the fact is that Trump has not done anything remotely resembling what Hitler was already doing several years into his reign. That’s why I referenced Krause’s antisemitic speech from 1933, the Nuremberg Laws from 1935, and the 1938 oath to Hitler after an act of military aggression.

No true comparison can be made between these draconian acts and anything in the Trump administration, let alone something that would be supported en masse by Christian Trump supporters.

Pastor John Piper and the 2020 elections: A respectful response

"if voting for a boastful man (Trump) can potentially save millions of babies’ lives, can that vote be justified? If voting for a man with a sexually immoral past can give support to persecuted minorities in China, can that vote be justified? If voting for a man who often lies and exaggerates can stop the rise of an anti-God socialism, can that vote be justified?"

[SNIP]

When it comes to Trump, we can vote for his policies while saying, “I don’t like many of the things he does and feel his example is often very destructive. I will therefore speak out when he acts wrongly and will model something different in my own life.”

But a vote for Biden and the Democrats is a vote to empower a party that wants to impose an overtly godless agenda.

if voting for a boastful man can potentially save millions of babies’ lives, can that vote be justified? If voting for a man with a sexually immoral past can give support to persecuted minorities in China, can that vote be justified? If voting for a man who often lies and exaggerates can stop the rise of an anti-God socialism, can that vote be justified?

What we cannot do, as I have been shouting for years now, is become apologists for the president. That, without question, demeans our witness. But to say that we cannot vote for him when the stakes are so high is, in my view, to miss the larger point.

As to our support for Trump, we can vote for him without selling our souls for him. We can cast a ballot in his name on November 3 while shouting from the rooftops that our hope is in the Lord, not in a man or a party.

Once again, why so many evangelical Christians strongly support Trump

... the application is clear. It is not just that Trump fights. It is not even that Trump fights back. It is that Trump fights for us.

That’s how many Americans feel in general. Trump is fighting for them. (Of course, the left paints this quite differently, claiming that it is a matter of racist, white Americans wanting to keep their country white. In reality, such people represent a very small minority of the whole.)

Trump is willing to expose the lying media. Trump is willing to take on the political establishment. Trump is willing to confront the radical leftists who want to disfigure our nation. Trump is willing to call out Big Pharma.

So what if he’s nasty in the process. So what if he creates deeper divisions along the way. There will always be collateral damage. But the good far outweighs the bad.

When it comes to Christian conservatives, the feelings run just as deep. There are hostile forces that want to wipe us out.

They despise our beliefs. They want to silence us in the public square. They want to indoctrinate our children in the schools. They want to steal our most fundamental liberties.

They also stand for the most egregious sin in our nation, namely, the slaughter of the unborn.

At last, we have someone fighting back for us – and for the unborn. At last we have someone tenacious enough to keep his word, no matter what.

Yes, he is the last person we would have chosen for the job, just like the cage fighting neighbor was the last person we would have looked to for help. But these are existential issues Trump is fighting for, from the life of the unborn to our religious liberties, and from standing up to Communist China to facing down Islamic terrorism. We appreciate him fighting on our behalf.

Let the president do his part and let the Church do its part

As a Trump supporter, I’ve said repeatedly that four more years of Donald Trump will not solve America’s problems. Not even close. At the same time, according to a leader of the underground church of China who is now in America, Trump is the only thing holding back America from a fall into socialism.

[SNIP]

I have the privilege of casting a vote for a presidential candidate every four years, so I evaluate who will best represent the issues that are important to me. And so, even when I consider Trump’s many obvious flaws, I would still rather see Trump in the White House than Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden or Andrew Cuomo or any of the other major Democratic candidates.

It’s really not that complicated. And it’s only a vote. That’s it.

[SNIP]

But I am not looking to the president to save the soul of America. Or to transform the heart of America. I’m looking to the president to stand up for the life of the unborn. To stand for religious freedom. To stand against social anarchy. To stand against world tyranny and terrorism. To stand for peace in the Middle East. (Just to mention a few of the items most important to me.)

Of course, I would love it if the president were also a moral icon. It would be terrific if he was a powerful unifier. I would be thrilled if he didn’t give his opponents so much fodder for their hatred. And it would be wonderful if he lifted up the national dialogue rather than helped drag it down.

But, given the choices that lie before us, I would much prefer a Trump presidency to a Biden presidency.

At the same time, while Trump functions as a wedge in the door to stop the encroaching flood of chaos, the Church must get busier than ever preaching and living the gospel, thereby changing hearts and attitudes of the masses. Otherwise, we are just forestalling the inevitable collapse of our nation.

That means that, should Trump be reelected, we cannot take our foot off the gas pedal. To the contrary, we need to put the pedal to the metal and accelerate our gospel efforts.
I am going to stop here, but there are TONS of other articles where Michael Brown has shown his support for ELECTING TRUMP AS PRESIDENT.

1. He voted for Trump TWICE

2. He supports Trump's policies

3. However, unlike others, he does not look up to Trump as some sort of moral icon, or someone who one has to blindly follow even when he is wrong. In other words, Trump is not Dr.Brown's messiah, which is as it should be.

I posted these articles and did my research because you only pick and choose articles that confirm your misplaced conclusions about the author. He is NOT a NeverTrumper. He supports Trump because of Trump's policies.

Finally, all these past quotes from the author you posted still does not address the point of this article, which is to give CAUTION to preachers who deem themselves worthy of speaking for God -- BE SURE THAT GOD REALLY HAS SPOKEN TO YOU BEFORE YOU PROPHECY ABOUT THE FUTURE. You only end up embarrassing yourselves.

"I did notice that ALL of the quotes you posted were BEFORE the November 2016 elections."

A lie. Just like Michael Brown.

My very first post, #135, where I linked to Brown's calumny, was from Jan. 19, 2021:

"I truly believe that four more years of Donald Trump would have led to greater spiritual complacency and even triumphalism, not to mention the vulgarizing of our own souls.

Four more years of Trump would have destroyed our witness even more severely, as evangelical Christians (in particular, white evangelical Christians) would have been better known for association with Trump than association with Jesus. (As it is, much damage has been done and we have much ground to recover.)"

Figuring that you would not bother to go to Brown's own statement, in #180, I directly excerpted his rants, opening each paragraph with the precise dates -- "Jan. 14, 2021" and "Jan. 16, 2021" -- the former where Brown conjured:

"Did we sell our souls by voting for Trump? Did we make a deal with the devil that was bound to end in failure and disgrace?"

So in fact, Brown's 3 statements that I first posted were all MADE BY HIM WITHIN THE PAST WEEK.

I get that you don't like how I've proven, using his own words, that Brown is a demonizer of men. Happy to start posting more Brownstain today...
