They didn’t lose their power, i don’t know about water. We figured they couldn’t get deliveries. But everything is open today, where i usually get gas pumps weren’t working but repairman was there. Found gas elsewhere. Am eating some good old fast food now. 🙂
Texas has its own grid not fed regulated so that’s why.

It will be a long trudge away from this disaster. Stamford is still without water, entire town. has been for a week. only got electricity back yesterday. Many good families are really struggling.

when I lived out there I always conserved energy. My coworkers husband was disabled for a few months, and she got over $600 ! Month to pay electric on huge house and swimming pool. Found out the funds came from other people paying their electric bills.

My electricity bill is very low. I conserve. My bill range from $29 - $40 per month. This is after a major price hike. Before that $17 - $29

My son said it’s estimated $30billion damage to homes and businesses from busted pipes and flood damage, etc.
mine was always low too. Living in the bay area helps as it rarely gets too hot, and winters aren’t that bad either. Here in Texas I rarely use heat, but have to use A/C all summer.
There could be a silver lining to this....
All those recent California imports who thought they had made a good decision moving to Texas might go ‘forget this stuff!’ and move elsewhere!

I heard on the radio today that the feds have just sent some diesel powered generators to Texas. The deep freeze is a week old and the temps are finally above freezing today. The Biden*Regime is right on top of this problem. /s
Hopefully they sent treated diesel as well, otherwise it’ll gel and the generators won’t work anyway!!
