The whole electric car thing is nothing but liberals trying to get the government to turn their tesla stock into Amazon stock IMO. And I love that noise. What’s more, my corvette can hit 186 mph, do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and get 30 mpg on the highway. I could cruise from Virginia Beach to San Fransisco and only stop for gas 6 times if I could keep it out of the city traffic.

I have a 2016 2-door VW GTI with the electronically controlled mechanical differential. My car is faster than most of the muscle cars of that era, can get 30+ mph if driven normally and because of it’s impact resistance is only moderately expensive to insure. It can out-brake and out corner most of the muscle cars of that era. It looks like an economy hatchback so it flies under the radar of most of the police.
Where there is a will there is a way. Adaptation is the way of the universe...

Pretty sure Elon Musk recently stated there will NOT be enough available renewable energy to power the projected number of EVs. DOH! Of course that won’t stop “them”. What was that old saying? Something about “The best laid plans of mice and dumbasses.”.
Sadly, it's a safer investment than anything coming out of the U.S. government.
