Ever hear of the Hong Kong flu? It did the same thing. Healthy, young, old , it didn’t matter. And we didn’t shut down either. Covid isn’t fake but this over reaction is.

Good for you!!

And I’m a lot younger and also healthy but somehow it got me. However, my regimen of vitamins and minerals kept the worst symptoms at bay. And I already had the tabletop nebulizer and used it before any lung symptoms and thus prevented any lung symptoms! I felt some chest tightness and then upped my 10 min nebulizing to 4-5 x a day and nothing respiratory ever happened to me.

And now I’m full of antibodies!

Keep doin what you’re doin!

I read somewhere that the US life expectancy went down 1.1 years for all factors in 2020 so this is a big plus for medicare and soc sec. Although now that the fed can create unlimited money out of nothing more than electrons, does it really make a difference?

Not talking about children, though. I'm talking about healthy adults in the prime of their lives.

Flu kills healthy adults in the prime of their lives if it is not treated.

But the flu is treated. You go to your doctor and say you have the flu you get a plan of treatment that includes both prescription and over the counter medicines. Including an inhaler to allow you to get more oxygen, a syrup to allow you to sleep, a decongestant and a exponent to help you to get it out of you plus an antibiotic and or an anti-viral depending on if you have a virus or have a bacterial infection as well. You are told to say in bed, drink lots of fluids and take your vitamins.

If you have the Kung flu they test you, maybe will give you a monitor to check your blood oxygen levels. And then they will send you home until you get really sick.

Which are they actually treating like a life threatening disease?

As someone else stated, not all flu deaths are reported as such. Also I would be very suspicious of that 400k number. Sounds like a bunch of propaganda to me. How are overall death rates compared to previous years? Don’t answer, we already know.

>>Oh the humanity. Look at all the bodies

People falling down dead, stacked like firewood.

Just like in China. Has ANYPLACE experienced that since the original scare footage from January 2020?

"How are overall death rates compared to previous years?"

For causes besides COVID-19? At or slightly above normal expected levels.

Source

Overall?

Roughly 400,000 difference. That’s a 14% increase year-over-year. The last time we saw those kinds of numbers was World War II. This in the same year doctors and nurses in hospitals around the country and around the world say they're losing patients to a new disease.

The question shouldn't be about the exact numbers of dead, but about the RESPONSES from the states, governors, etc. and how much they played a role in ramping UP that death count. For example, governors Newsom, Cuomo, and others forced nursing homes to accept known-infected patients. That alone cost tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths. Now we can either sit back and hand-wave those deaths away for them, or we can indict them for criminally negligent homicide.

>>Once Bidet and his Ho are in office watch the Rona fade from the news.

Now is when the fun begins on social media.

Facebook has a thing where it’ll nag you about “memories” of what you posted/were doing a year ago, etc.

Peoples’ posts about the extreme visuals about Covid19 in China will be bubbling up soon, as will promises of “2 weeks to flatten the curve” (not erradicate the virus), as will photos and videos and memories of death and destruction during the months of militant Democrat insurgency as they occupied and burned Federal court houses, churches, etc in “mostly peaceful” riots.

2018
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leading-causes-of-death.htm

Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 159,486
Influenza and pneumonia: 59,120

200,000 deaths right there. No “covid”.

I got laid low by the Hong Kong flu. 8 or 9 years old. Couldn’t get out of bed for a week. Got over it.

I imagine most of that will go down the Facebook memory hole. Can’t have the past inconveniently showing people how they’ve been played.
Most will just believe such measures were necessary.
People are sheep these days.

I think somebody died at our school. I’m pretty sure it was worse than Covid but either one can kill you. But back then nobody thought to intentionally introduce it into nursing homes.

Number of deaths in the US in 2018: 2,839,205
Number of deaths in the US in 2019: 2,854,838
Number of deaths in the US in 2020: 3,247,894

There’s no shuffling around happening. Total number of deaths went up by about 400,000. 400,000 more people died in 2020 than died in 2019 or 2018 or any other year in recent memory. A normal increase in death counts year-over-year is 0.3% - 0.7%.

In 2020, total number of deaths rose by 14%. The real world is not FairytaleLand no matter how much we wish it so.

400,000 people didn’t get up and jump out a window. Suicides and overdoses may be up, but there’s no data suggesting they’re even outside statistical norms, let alone into the hundreds of thousands beyond normal numbers.

200,000 of those deaths you are counting are normal deaths from breating issues and pneumonia

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3926575/posts

scientists from Duke, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins finally wrote a paper which may come as a shock to all the virtue-signaling progs out there, because its conclusion is stunning: in a nutshell, the NBER working paper (“The Long-Term Impact Of The Covid-19 Unemployment Shock On life Expectancy And Mortality Rates“) finds that while there have been roughly 400,000 covid-linked deaths so far (amid extensive debate of just what is a “covid-linked death” since even crash victims are counted as covid casualties, not to mention tens of thousands of others with terminal co-morbidities), the long-term economic implications from covid-related lockdowns are dire, resulting in COVID-19-related unemployment “which is between 2 and 5 times larger than the typical unemployment shock” and resulting in a “3.0% increase in mortality rate and a 0.5% drop in life expectancy over the next 15 years for the overall American population.”

The bottom line, as scientists Bianchi, Bianchi and Song find is that…

For the overall population, the increase in the death rate following the COVID-19 pandemic implies a staggering 0.89 and 1.37 million excess deaths over the next 15 and 20 years, respectively

That’s bad; where it gets even worse for the world’s progressives is the report’s finding that the “shock will disproportionately affect” women, particularly of Hispanic heritage; African Americans; foreign born individuals; less educated adults and individuals age 16-24 – in short all those racial and social classes that are of primary concern to the “progressives” – while “white men might suffer large consequences over longer horizons” (we doubt progs will care too much about this).

In short, everyone will be hit by the covid-lockdowns, with blacks, Hispanics and women first, and white men next for a far longer period of time. And, in the process, nearly 1 million excess deaths will take place that wouldn’t have taken place otherwise.

Over 400,000 Americans have died from this "fake" virus.

But Thank God, the virus prevents heart attacks, cures diabetes and all sorts of life threatening diseases. Nobody dies of them anymore so the virus defeated every disease that medicine couldnt do. Isn't that miraculous! It's the flu, dummy. Get a grip on reality.
