CNN will no longer be broadcasted in airports, its president says, ending a decades-long run.
In a letter to staff members, CNN President Jeff Zucker said the CNN Airport Network will stop operations as of March 31.

They are not making enough money to keep paying airports to play them anymore.
Considering that one of their personalities along with her cameraman illegally entered the capital, and were stupid enough to film themselves breaking the law - maybe CNN should be removed from the airwaves by the FCC?
correction - author is zachary stieber
perhaps go after the entire organization under terrorism laws.
well, that’s also as there are fewer people IN airports these days, so fewer eyeballs to charge advertisers for
I do not believe this is over yet by a long shot. By the time it is over the entire MSM will be reeling, and the NeverTrumpers that like to post here about Trump not having a chance are going to be very sad.
I posted this shortly ago on another thread . . .
>>>Okay, how about this scenario . . .
Donald Trump is sworn in as president by Chief Justice designee Clarence Thomas just minutes before the same oath is given to Uncle Joe Biden by soon-to-be-arrested ex-Chief Justice John Roberts. As soon as Biden utters the words “so help me God” the arrests are made . . .
Because it is only at this point that the crime of treason in planning and perpetuating a coup against the president of the United States is complete and the country has an absolute airtight case.<<<
And most of them have their own screens as well.
what will play instead?
yes i have been reading these scenarios too
i’m hoping something like this is true
but i wont be surprised if it doesn’t happen
i’d like it to occur though, so much
airplane disaster videos?
Fewer airport ‘customers’ is the key to this. Most all airports in the US were reporting a 50-to-60 percent decrease over the first half of 2020. I don’t think it improved at all for remainder of the year. I’d expect the trend to mostly stay around for bulk of 2021.
Our airports will be safer when CNN is gone. AIR POLLUTION reduced by 90%.
I’m not sure that is such a key factor to the advertisers. Think about it — even billboards in airports have high prices. You have some gaudy ad on the big screen that shows your flight time - chances are high that you will see it.
You make an excellent point. I often see the rules, and I am seeing it more and more, talking about how nice it will be we can get back to normal and they can travel, go to a concert, etc.
What these liberals fail to realize is that they have given the government in support of the government taking unconstitutional amounts of power over our daily lives and the government isn’t really interested in giving it back quickly. If they think they’re going to see a concert or have a normal life in 2021, They are in for a rude awakening. With the Democrats constantly moving goal posts, I don’t see many promoters or event venues attempting to spend what little money they have left to pull off a concert and say fall of 2021 going to have the government step in and say no sorry you got a wait two more months. I suspect many venues will refuse to host major events until restrictions are completely lifted.
True. I’m actually surprised that the decrease was only 50 to 60%. A lot of businesses I know have discovered the joys of Microsoft Teams (and the massive, massive savings in real-estate, travel expenses etc.)
Even if they DO organize a concert and there is no rule put on it (say that even masks are off), few people will come for it.
I know people who are too scared to leave their houses thanks to media scares
I park in the garage. I walk across the pedestrian bridge to the terminal. I've already used my phone to check in. I walk to security and go through TSA. I go the the restroom. I go to my gate and wait a short while. I get on the plane.
Where was CNN or ANYthing in my face?
A Covis silver lining.
Play OAN instead.
I agree, but it’s a shame they had to but a feeble old man in front to do it. But then again I’m not surprised
