I think people here know that I’m a doctor.
I just completed the second shot of the two dose Pfizer vaccine. I felt virtually nothing after the first shot and nothing after the second shot given about 15 hours ago.
The injection consists of only 0.3 ml. Contrast that with the flu vaccine that is 0.5 ml.
The first shot helps your body recognize the virus, and the second revs up your immune system.
As you know, 99% of those infected with the virus recover fully. On the other hand there is a small percentage that recover but not fully. We call these people “long haulers.”
You might want to read up about them as many are formally very healthy even athletic.
Don’t be afraid of this shot. I recommend that you take it when it becomes available.
21 people out of 2 million recipients in the US had a severe anaphylactic reaction, and all of them recovered just fine. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7002e1.htm
That’s a 1 out of 10 million rate, or 0.00001%.
Whoops! That should be 1 out of 100,000. Or 0.001%.
That’ll teach me to post while distracted.
Given the lack of vaccines, it amazes me that we are already trying to shame or force people into it. There’s a line of people waiting, so who cares if some say no?
Have you seen these reports out of Norway?
I’m not over 80, but I am immunocompromised.
Doctors who specialize in my health condition say that folks in my category have not been specifically tested. Some say, “Don’t worry, you’ll be good!” But others say, “It wouldn’t be bad if these patients held off until more research is done.”
And, research is being done. Johns Hopkins is beginning a clinical study specifically aimed at folks with my health condition.
Your thoughts?
This is what I suspect your reaction is.... : )

“After allergic reactions at 1 clinic, California pauses use of large batch of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine”
Are these possible life threatening reactions caused by polyethylene glycol/PEG or the synthetic mRNA in the experimental injection or both? Humans are their new guinea pigs.
P.S. Don’t wait for an answer from Bill Gates or Fauci. Neither are qualified or ethical in order to answer that question.

“California warns against using a batch of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines after allergic reactions”
“California’s top epidemiologist told healthcare providers on Sunday to stop using a batch of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine after a “higher than usual” number of people had apparent allergic reactions at a San Diego vaccination clinic...”

Or is the whole process cursed because the injections were developed using the cells ‘harvested’ from murdered AKA aborted babies in testing and developing the various jabs?
BINGO!!
Thanks for the out loud laugh this morning.
“This sort of reminds me of shingles shot. Some people have intense reaction and others don’t!”
Fortunately, our PPO RN warned my wife and I about the 2nd shingles shot and strongly suggested that both of us not take the second shot at the same time.
So I went first and took the 2 nd Shingles shot two years ago this coming November.
The next day I felt like someone had hit me with a baseball bat at the injection site. Then, two defensive all pro tacklers tried to separate my body from head to tail. I, also had a low grade fever.
Then, I had more fever and blood in my urine. That set off all types of responses from our PPP. I must have taken every
test known to man, many I would prefer not to take again.
I ended up with Quin-alone antibiotic to treat the UTI and received my previously ordered CPap machine. That CPap allowed me to sleep at. Also, I was on a blood thinner and aspirin. Which are now often recommended for Covid Patients.
All of this was happening to me and many other patients around the Bay area, before we knew about Covid, which was here.
I probably passed on my probable Covid gift to a 50+ year old son and a 19 year old grandson at a family Christmas dinner. The son took weeks to finally feel better and lost over 30#’s which he didn’t need to lose. The grandson was over what he had in a few days. Zero women in our family at that Christmas dinner even had sniffles.
I’m below 65, not a health care worker, don’t fit the demographic of being high risk, and really have no doctor. (I always use a walk in medical clinic).
You sound like one of our adult son’s. He is 56 and in great shape. He needs an allergy shot/ a cortisone shot every late spring. Rather than hassle with a family doctor, he uses a walk in Clinic.
His 18 month younger bro really wants the vaccination, his wife got one as she runs a day care center and was on a call list if someone didn’t show up for a shot. She and her daughter got the first shots due to no shows, because they were on no show lists.
