I Just Had The Pfizer Vaccine
1/14/2021 | Nikos1121

I think people here know that I’m a doctor.

I just completed the second shot of the two dose Pfizer vaccine. I felt virtually nothing after the first shot and nothing after the second shot given about 15 hours ago.

The injection consists of only 0.3 ml. Contrast that with the flu vaccine that is 0.5 ml.

The first shot helps your body recognize the virus, and the second revs up your immune system.

As you know, 99% of those infected with the virus recover fully. On the other hand there is a small percentage that recover but not fully. We call these people “long haulers.”

You might want to read up about them as many are formally very healthy even athletic.

Don’t be afraid of this shot. I recommend that you take it when it becomes available.

It may be bis immune system was compromised.

Did he have his vitamin d levels tested regularly?

We’re they 50 or above?

Btw, I used a nebulizer with “respiratory relief” to prevent lung issues.

My case lasted less than 3 days.

Wife did better at 2 days.

Person C Healthy 42 year old male, active and healthy, gets the virus, and now, 8 weeks later, too weak to even fold towels.

Are you taking 5k of D3?

I was ambivalent about it, but our hospital here in Lagrange, GA is getting slammed. We’ve had deaths. We’re seeing it first hand. Just about every doctor and nurse working with these patients is getting the vaccine.

If you consistently do not take any vaccines, that’s fine, but as a doctor, are you telling your patients not to also?

Are you telling your over 50 year old patients NOT to have a shingles vaccine, and to NOT have a flu vaccine, or TDAP when it’s due?

I don’t have the answer, and I’m not being critical of anyone choosing not to take a vaccine. I took it because of my exposure and age, and seeing and hearing about some pretty sick people.

D3. My blood levels are normal, so only taking it once a week or so. Vitamin D can be toxic.

I’m taking both kinds of K.

One zinc per day.

And yes, I goes days, when I’ve taken nothing.

I’ve also been taking Juice Plus for the past three years.

I wonder if you’d take the polio vaccine back in the day. I’m not sure what the fear is. So many idiots were kicked out of the military when I was in due to refusing the anthrax vaccine. We were all supposed to die from it. Lol. I’m still kicking it and had no negative effects. After getting the anthrax vaccine, nothing scares me.

I have walked through some ICU’s and have seen what this cold does to people.
That’s why I got vaccinated.
I’m 69. Haven’t had the second pop yet.
So far side effects have been some fatigue which lasted 3 days.
I also have some peripheral neuropathy which seems to have gotten a bit more bothersome but I’m hoping that quiets back down. We’ll see.

What I read some time back is they are making it the “old fashioned way” which I think means not using the mRNA technique the others use. I don’t know any more than that as it was just a brief mention some months ago.

As for the current mRNA vaccines, they are said to be only partial effective, only lessen hospitalization chance (but not eliminate it) and only last for a short while, and so, to my way of thinking, they really aren’t vaccines at all, but some other category. Getting a measles vaccination means you will not get the disease for years, if ever, but not so with this covid formulation.

I’ve also read statements by various medical proponents that this ‘vaccination’ makes it easier for them to make other ‘vaccinations’ because it modifies your body’s cells.

I think I’ll pass until it is made mandatory by the HarrisXiden Tyranny to do essential things or they come up with a real vaccination that actually prevents it - which given the history of cold and flu shots - will be never. Since the origin of flu shots, whenever that was, I’ve never had one and have been fine without it.

My wife is frightened about “long term effects”. As Keynes said, in the long run, we’re all dead.

It isn’t deadly because it’s deadly, it’s extremely deadly because it’s extremely transmissible. 0.5-2% mortality doesn’t sound deadly unless it’s 0.5-2% of 345 million people.

For me I don’t know how long it will be before I could even get a shot.

I’m below 65, not a health care worker, don’t fit the demographic of being high risk, and really have no doctor. (I always use a walk in medical clinic).

Will the State/Feds at some point reach out to me with a contact for the shot? (I do pay taxes so I assume they know I exist.)

I know each of you have had the vaccine and with your jobs, you are most at risk for getting infected and losing productive days of work.

Is our long-term immunity better from having successfully recovered from an actual COVID-19 infection or from taking one or more of these vaccines? When I hear of annual COVID-19 vaccines, it makes me think the new approach of the vaccines is not novel for long-term immunity uses, meaning it’s effectively like the flu shot each year.

Also, since we all had the MMR vaccine, I have heard that this has up to a 27-29% match with COVID-19 from one of the sicknesses covered. Could a decent alternative be to just get an MMR booster?

Good question. Judging the left, I would predict that you will need proof of having had the vaccine before you’re aloud to board a plane.

The jury is out on immunity from disease vs vaccine. if you have had the disease I would get the antibody test, f positive I would hang on for a bit and see what shakes out. I have heard the buzz about the mmr, I know people
who had the mmr booster and still got covid. If you are going to get vaccinated against covid will would do it with the covid vaccine not use the mmr as a poor proxy.

Did you consider instead getting a diphteria, tetatus and pertussis (DTP) combination vaccine. Or actually the abbreviated DT because I don’t believe P would be an option for you or me given our ages.
DTP has been around forever, is relatively safe, and more and more studies, demonstrate that the DTP provides good cross over T and B cell immunity to sars-2. The immunity wanes over time. Hence, children and young adults still have this cross over immunity if you will whereas as you get older your T and B cell memory fades.

One of many emerging studies on the subject -

The quantity was so little, it makes me wonder if it is really effective. All it does is reduce your symptoms if you’re infected, as you well know.

I’m more worried about my second shingles shot in three months. That really slams you.
