I haven’t seen anything about state militia being called to federal service.
States are sending armed militia to sleep in our Capitol?
That is the Capitol of The United States Of America!
It is not the Capitol of New York or California!
This is a police matter!

Where is the threat?
Without a serious threat, moving armed militia to the Capitol of The United States Of America is illegal and should be considered an insurrection by the states sending them.
Federal forces need to remove them!

I may be wrong about New York being there, but I don't think so.
The article mentions 1,100. I have heard there are now between 7K and 15K there.
They will only be used as a welcoming comittee for the u.n.

It worries me though that our ‘elite’ won’t want to look like they overreacted so it wouldn’t surprise me if Xi has arranged a car bomb or such for the occasion.

We have a friend who’s DEA in Kansas City who had to go to dc to protect monuments??? That’s what they told him. He left yesterday. The left doesn’t care about our monuments so I’m praying the guard + are with the president.

Some states also have state militias, but those tend to be more comical than tactical.
If the National Guard troops in Blue states belonged to the states then why didn't the Blue states prevent their National Guard units from going to help in the Iraq War?

I think they are from right wing states, as well. I saw that Nebraska was sending 200. They want the people in Nebraska to think that there is a risk posed by Trump supporters, making this necessary, IMO.
National Guard with weapons?
It could very well be some kind of big operation authorized by President Trump.
I haven’t seen any notice that state militias were federalized.
