Lisa Montgomery, a convicted killer who strangled a pregnant woman and then cut the unborn baby from her womb, was executed in a federal prison in Indiana early Wednesday. She was the first woman executed in the federal system in nearly seven decades.
Montgomery was convicted of strangling a Missouri woman who was eight months pregnant in 2004 and taking the unborn baby, who survived.
The 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at 1:31 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a lethal injection at the federal prison complex in Terre Haute, Indiana, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said.

Don't forget Judas. If you go by what some other posters have said about Hitler being allowed into Heaven, Judas is the only exception to the rule. Even God has his limits.
Bout dam time.
Only reason they executed her was becuase she murdered a woman.
I’m assuming that Ethel Rosenberg was the 1953 execution. Was it the kidnapping, and crossing State lines that made this a federal prosecution?
Judas had a special notation though. Interestingly, given a name later used to describe the Antichrist (though not mentioned by that term “Antichrist”). That name is “son of perdition”.

Matthew 26:23-25
New King James Version
23 He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.
24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”
25 Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?”
He said to him, “You have said it.”
(notice that Satan entered into Judas):
John 13:26-27 King James Version
26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
That was Elizabeth.
They can probably arrange it do that those are State executions. Although some of the Blue governors sill be just as likely to balk at official executions.
Georgia executed one a few years back, can’t quite remember her name.
Even Obama could be forgiven if he repents. With God, all things are possible.
After what I’ve seen over the last four years, I just assume that anyone prosecuted by the U.S. Department of Justice was innocent, and railroaded for political reasons.
And she’s white.
Would Christ forgive her and allow her into Heaven?
Three examples from scripture.
Saul, later named Paul, went around killing Christians. God reached out to him on the Damascas road while he was still very much a murderous sinner. God used him to write much of the New Testament.
King David impregnated Uriah’s wife while Uriah was away in the army. David couldn’t get Uriah to sleep with his wife to cover up his sin. So David sent Uriah to the front lines of battle and had the army withdraw leaving Uriah alone where he was killed. God sends the prophet Nathan to confront David with his sin. David repents. Two chapters later, God has so completely forgiven David that God calls David “a man after my own heart”. There were consequences to David’s sin. But God did forgive David.
In the book of Jonah, Ninevah was a very wicked city. And everybody knew it. God sent Jonah to preach repentance and God’s mercy to Ninevah. Ninevah was so wicked Jonah didn’t want to go. After a little devine convincing, Jonah went and preached. Ninevah repented. Jonah got mad because he thought Ninevah deserved to be destroyed. And God rebuked Jonah for his failure to love.
Tucker was known to be in the area at the time of that murder and the same MO was used...a pick was left in the head of the victim.
Definitely not the case. I was present and intimately involved in a case of murders and attempted murders. The two men involved reside at Terra Haute on death row.
The execution of this woman made me wonder how the people on death row think about it. The only friends or company most of them have is each other. How do they feel when one of theirs is brought to die? Do they hurt? Do they grieve? Many of them are sociopaths and incapable of empathy. So does an execution make them more aware of why they are there? Do they actually and truly regret what they did knowing that they themselves are going to face the same thing? Or do they still not care?
The two I know were scheduled to die in 2009 i think, but ozero put a stop to executions.
Two women and a child dies as a result of the actions of these guys..much of the family died without seeing justice on earth.
Most people have NO clue as to what the friends and family have to endure and overcome when they’ve lost a loved one.
Yet the pity is reserved for the murderer who had no problem playing judge, jury and executioner on your family member??
Three lives were lost and all they have to give up is one life, but they took three.
Prison is a punishment. So is the death penalty. The victims were denied mercy.
There IS a balancing act however. You can’t crave their death ...you don’t want to commit murder in your own heart. But God instituted governments for this very reason. And God himself set the proper tone for the death penalty, and guarding your heart from evil is part of it.
Not my call,
But even if she accepted Jesus as her savior, when she came before Saint Pete, Hopefully Pete sent her packing.

The baby who was ripped from her mother’s womb turned 16 last month. Her mother was only 23 when she was murdered in 2004.
There have been similar cases like one in
Chicago around 2019
Charlize Theron was excellent in that movie.
Carla Fay Tucker did repent ( and I believe it was genuine that she found Christ)
.....but even though she appealed her execution.......she accepted her fate, because as a Christian she realized there are penalties
George Bush called for the execution
As I remember, Carla was on drugs and repeatedly stabbed a woman with a pick
If she was sane enough for trial then she’s sane enough to carry out the sentence.
