Understood, and my apologies if I misunderstood your post.
But I sincerely wish that those jerks HAD stayed home, instead of getting off on a stupid ego trip - that is, if they or their handlers did not (as I suspect) have far more nefarious goals.
(And there were lots of innocent but stupid people who followed them in. I suspect those are having serious second thoughts, now...)
I’m sure some of the people who were in the Capitol were there to smash and destroy. But let’s not forget that there was a coordinated plan, I believe by the FBI, to lead protesters directly in the Capitol. It was a trap. There are many videos which in fact show police moving barricades and allowing protesters to enter.
And you are right. Lots of innocent people are having their lives and careers destroyed. Canceled. Because they were caught in this trap.
