With the green new deal and God only knows what else the dems will do, I can't imagine how EVERY petroleum product wont get hammered with big taxes. They could very likely hit all fracking companies, heck the whole industry, with some kind of environmental tax. I see income tax both state and federal getting hit hard too. A Covid fund tax?

The libs fail to realize that while they might get their $2,000 giveaway they will pay more in higher taxes. Buying stuff on Amazon will be way more expensive because Amazon will pass on their taxes. Everything will be more expensive. It’s unbelievable what they think is “free”.

It will effect everybody not just the folks making 400,000. They will take the cap off of FICA and Medicare tax that is taken out of your payroll. .

They can retroactive to Jan 1, 2021. If they do it the will kill the economy. Pretty stupid if they do that as the will set up the return on the republicans in 2022.

I looked it up. By golly, you’re right. The courts have already ruled that going back one year was fine and dandy. But what about going back more than one year? I could find no definitive ruling either way there.
So let’s say Biden/Harris want to go back five years, and impose additional taxes on us. Then I guess it would go to our wonderful Supreme Court. They’ll probably nod yes like a bunch of bobble-heads.
After all, it would be for the children. And for Mother Earth. And stuff.

That's what I'm bracing for. It's going to be horrendous with both Democrat reckless spending and the Covid bail-outs. And China's going to eat us alive. Export American jobs, import cheap crap and open the borders to unskilled folks who'll immediately get "free" med care and other stuff. America's gone.
Amazon will be unionize by the democrats. Look for the Pro-Act to be passed as part of the COVID stimulus bill they Jam down in the first couple of weeks of the Biden era.

I haven’t read about any confiscation plans, yet. But I’ve read about plans to forcibly convert a portion of everyone’s 401k’s into 30-year government bonds paying maybe 2 or 3%.
That wouldn’t be theft (so they say), because they’re not taking anything from you. They’re just moving your money around a bit.
