Former Attorney General William Barr says President Donald Trump’s conduct as a violent mob of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol was a “betrayal of his office and supporters.”

In a statement to The Associated Press, Barr said Thursday that “orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress is inexcusable.”

Barr was one of Trump’s most loyal and ardent defenders in the Cabinet.

Barr was one of few featured in Trumps video yesterday. Hopefully that means he’ll be one of the first deep staters to go down.

You’d think that such experienced people would know enough to wait until the dust settles before commenting. The media loves this, of course, because the first shock narrative will be immediately set in stone.

And I care what Barr thinks because...? Or has nobody reminded him that he resigned and has not been the Attorney General for two weeks now?

The swamp needs us to believe that the elections are fair.

I disagree.

The Swamp wants us to _know_ the election was stolen and wants us to _know_ we can't do anything about it.

They are like a local Mafia chieftain parading around town in their fancy suit waving at the crowd.

If Trump in 2017 had asked Giuliani to be atty. gen. and kept Sessions in the Senate, then there would have been no need for Barr.

The “Professional Politicians” have gotten rid of the outlier, President Trump...Things are going back to the fantasy that claims to be OUR government...

A lot of people have come to realize that politicians, both high state politicians and federal politicians consider themselves separate from the “common masses”...

We have two political parties in name only...They are, in their minds, first and foremost, “professional politicians...They argue and speechify against each other in public for the benefit of the “common masses”, but then, when alone in the smoke-filled back room with a cigar in one hand and a bourbon in the other, they laugh with each other about how they pulled their sh*t off again...

We are played as fools every election cycle and I don’t believe there will ever again be honest and fair elections...

“...hid evidence to affect the election?”

If there is one thing Barr knows, it is betrayal.

Barr betrayed the country and when history is written he will be declared an incompetent.

***********

The rule of law and confidence in the government was greatly undermined during his watch. His legacy is a sad, pathetic and destructive one.

“They are like a local Mafia chieftain parading around town in their fancy suit waving at the crowd.”

Yep, you may be right on that. They want us to know they are in charge, and resistance is futile.

LMAO as if these people respected the office for four years in their coup attempt.

We’re supposed to respect a building in DC when the left have been tearing down state and federal statues across the country the last 7 months and not ONE person in the media gave a shit about “history” or “respect”

A message to Barr that still resonates today.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom - go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen! “

A lot of bad and nothing good came of yesterday’s rally

Earlier in the week there was momentum for fighting the steak in Congress by highlighting the facts during debate on the floor. That all got short circuited or drowned out by a rally that led to violence. All the momentum is now going the other way with vengeance this morning trump is essentially gagged and issuing a concession-like speech

Nothing good came of the rally. That’s simply a statement of fact that anyone examining how this week has played out can see

All this was forseeable. Trump should have publicly discouraged people from coming to DC for a rally, not encouraged them

I posted weeks ago that if MAGA wants to rally it shouldn’t be in Dem cities like DC where authorities let violence loose on the rallies.

Nothing good came from this rally - a fact that is now obvious to all. We will be fortunate if Trump is allowed to serve out the last two weeks of his term /- and this is all because of the rally and the boneheaded “storming of the Capitol”. We could have been talking about the evidence of fraud as being laid out on the floor of Congress putting the Dems on defensive. But the rally and storming of the Capitol robbed us of that focus - and the left loves it

Nothing good came of the rally. And that was forseeable
