Mobs breaking into and occupying government buildings are always bad, but when leftists are responsible, a memory hole soon opens and engulfs the media’s recollections. True conservatives support law and order and peaceful protest for redress of grievances, a sacred constitutional right. Rights bring with them responsibilities, and strict adherence to the law is a fundamental obligation of those who speak out in disapproval.

The US Capitol is a sacred temple of our democratic republic, and ought to be viewed as such, not a target for violence. Period. But a little historical perspective is in order in understanding how mob violence directed at official buildings is no monopoly of conservatives or Trump supporters.

Just over 2 years ago, the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill was occupied by protestors seeking to block the confirmation of Justice Kavanaugh. See this video from MSNBC:

They were unarmed at the Capitol and simply going into the People’s House.No acts of looting or arson were committed like in Minneapolis and Portland. The Pearl Clutchers, particularly in the Republican Party, were almost dying of apoplexy because the supposedly sacred precincts of Congress used to attempt a usurpation of the President for 4 long years were invaded while the precincts of Minneapolis and Seattle are defined as less sacred? A line was crossed? Buahahahahahahahaha!

What a laugh? The Democrats CAUSED THIS. But the Republicans are clutching their pearls instead of fighting back.

Liberal wuss, Chrissy Wallace, angrily said yesterday (Wed, Jan 6) that he had been a reporter covering the Vietnam War protests and never once saw any of the "anti-war" protesters get near the US Capitol. (in reality, they weren't anti-war, they were just anti-US military. They were communists who were on the side of the North Vietnamese enemy)

In fact, the communist-revolutionary, domestic terrorist, Weather Underground openly bragged about bombing the US Capitol AND the Pentagon!

I haven’t seen any. The video clip of a cpl of alleged Trump supporters trying to charge (for lack of a better term) the police line inside of the building sure didn’t seem like the behavior of our side.

Yes and No. There were too many to blame it all on Antifa, despite the fact that several of those entering the building had the Hammer & Sickle stamped on their hands. And we do have photographic evidence of some Antifa characters dressed up in the same weird garb, like the bullhorn guy, that they wore at earlier Antifa events. Certainly, Ashli Babbitt was a Trump supporter, and she is not innocent of breaking barriers, but neither should she have been shot by Capitol Hill police. It reminds me of Kent State, May 1970. Four protesters were killed that day, and, apparently, four were killed yesterday, though the circumstances surrounding the other three are still shrouded in secrecy. Anybody have an update on them?

Prior to the lockdowns, I flew almost every week of the year, so I was approached by people who recognized me on a regular basis. Increasingly, I noticed that people would look around to see if anyone was within earshot and then tell me in almost a whisper: "I support Trump" or, "I'm a conservative." The last time people looked around and whispered things to me was when I used to visit the Soviet Union.
