The President Trump supporter killed in the Capitol building Wednesday is an Air Force vet from California who tweeted a day earlier how “nothing will stop us” and “the storm is here.”
Ashli Babbit, who had 14 years in the service and did four tours of duty, was married and lived near San Diego, her husband Aaron told KUSI-TV.
“I’m numb. I’m devastated. Nobody from DC notified my son and we found out on TV,” the husband’s mother, Robin Babbitt, told The Post, saying of her daughter-in-law, “She is a Trump supporter.”
Everything is “pretty surreal,” added Aaron’s brother, Justin. “It’s hard, because we haven’t been officially notified.”
The day before she was fatally shot — apparently by Capitol Police, Babbit tweeted, “Nothing will stop us…. they can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours….dark to light.”

Babbit, who used the Twitter handle CommonAshSense, also retweeted Wednesday morning — a few hours ahead of her and other Trump supporters storming the Capitol — a “MUST BE DONE LIST before Congress meets today.”
It included, “Mike Pence@vp @Mike_Pence must resign & thereafter be charged with TREASON,” and, “Chief Justice John Roberts must RESIGN.”
The rioters were protesting Congress’s impending certification of Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election.
Babbit took a fatal bullet to the chest during the mayhem inside the Capitol.
Video footage captured the sound of the gunshot, and showed the woman crumpling to the floor from multiple angles.
She was apparently shot by Capitol Police, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

She wasn’t killed by a policeman or policewoman. 🙄
Well said.
We may be screwed but we will fight unlike these other people who cower in their homes because of a virus that is 99.8% recoverable. I learned so much about posters back in March and the “15 Days to flatten the curve” then the additional 30 days that turned into 10 months.
And fuckin posters, not only abiding by but promoting this bullshit ever single day regardless of the rights that are being pummeled and annililated just so they can “feel safe” from a fuckin virus that has a 99.8% recovery rate while lockdowns decimate the middle class.
More than half of this country disgusts me.
Way more than half of the posters on this board disgust me.I knew we were done once the majority of this site fell for the plandemic.
All that “integrity”, “class”, “dignity” means nothing as we lose our country.A coup happened and many still care only about WEAR A MASK, SOCIALIST DISTANCE, DON’T CELEBRATE HOLIDAYS. Ugh. I hate stupid people and we have MORE than our share.
Eat it.
Whotta POS she is.
Yes, it does.
The police helped them. (short video)
Whotta maroon. Whotta ta-ra-ra-goon-di-yay she is...
TRUMP LIVES MATTER!
No way. That is my German Shepherd. Far too buff for a thin small Malinois...and far too much black.
Yes indeed. You summed it up nicely. Well done.
She was unarmed. I weep for this Patriot. Some Cops get over excited and shoot too fast. He/She needs another profession. The vast majority of officers were very professional and should be applauded. I swear the hypocrisy from the Media is just sickening. Btw neither the Capitol or private property should be destroyed/looted/burned etc. but our Federal buildings are not sacred temples, Id rather see a few windows broken out of a Gov. building than private homes and businesses damaged. To me private property and businesses and the freedom to safely operate and live in them is what America is all about. Amen
As you’ve suggested RummyChick, by all that is right and good in this world, this situation should have ended in arrests, not in violence or death.
Some are catching a strong whiff of the basest, most amoral origins for what happened today, a lá “Pelosi SS” (if one focuses solely on the circumstances of the shooting), and/or a modern-day Reichstag fire (if one suspects AntiFa coolly coordinated their activities in advance with the Democrats and the Capitol Police):

Protesters tarnish Kavanaugh vote - Washington Times
m.washingtontimes.com
Hundreds of protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol steps Saturday afternoon, and more than a dozen made it into the Senate chamber where they shouted at senators voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
“I do not consent!” shouted one protester.
Others were more personal.
“You’re a coward Flake, you’re a total coward,” one man in a white sweatshirt yelled at Sen. Jeff Flake, a Republican who’d withheld his support for the nomination until the last day.
And a young man shouted “Texas will remember,” at Sen. Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican who’s up for re-election next month. As the young man shouted, the older woman with him grabbed his shirt and dragged him out of his seat.
Police said 14 protesters were arrested from within the chamber, and 150 people were arrested outside the Capitol, including from the steps, where they had broken through a police line and started a sit-in.
Betty Baumgertner came to the District from a Virginia suburb to voice her concerns about Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
“It makes me sad, actually, how things have changed in that we are not exactly voting for the person’s integrity to me it’s more political, which it should never be for the Supreme Court,” she said.
There were a few supporters of President Trump and Judge Kavanaugh mixed in the crowd, but they were overwhelmingly outnumbered by ‘resistance’ activists.
Tracy Thompson and her husband came from Georgia to the District for their 20th wedding anniversary, but decided to attend the protest.
“They are so many and we are so few,” she said. “I felt like it’s our right too — I have opinions too and I wanted to represent another side.”
Protests have been ongoing throughout the Capitol grounds and Senate office buildings over the past few weeks since Christine Blasey Ford came forward with her allegation of sexual misconduct against the president’s nominee.
Roughly 100 people were arrested on Friday ahead of the Senate’s procedural vote moving forward on Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
In the third video you can clearly see she was climbing in a side window at a door.
That said, complete and unwarranted action on the part of the panicked police. Boring job in the Capital, so they over-reacted. The type of over- reaction I expect to see if TSA is ever armed (Gawd forbid).
She knows what it means
Commander in Chief
NEVER FORGET
We’ll never forget you
Why say RIP after you insult her?
You’re a ####ing crybaby who freaked the #### out over covid.
Now you insult this woman?
How many years did you serve?
Some of the garbage on this board needs to be thrown out
I dont agree with what she did but I can still wish her to RIP
Btw, the person that really got into her head now has a doozy of a conspiracy up at the moment on Parler.
Who killed her! She should get a grand funeral—Trump should attend.
to your post...
I SAY, AMEN 3X...
BEAWARE, the person is a trouble maker...
MY OPINION...
When Crispus Attucks was killed the soldiers were tried. Will this woman’s murderer even be identified?
“I am 100 percent against what these people did. It’s what Antifa does. It’s what BLM does.
You want to wave flags and protest..Fine.
But this was insane.”
Insane was climbing the cliffs of Omaha Beach into German machinegun fire.
Insane was getting your head chopped off for refusing to worship Caesar.
Insane is a young man jumping into a frozen river to save an old man.
Insane was firing on British regulars on Lexington Green.
Man I bet you’d have given them stupid Minutemen a piece of your mind.
Anyone risking anything for your sake would be insane.
I’m sure you’re right, of course ... the ears are far to stubby to be a noble Malinois : )
