Like many Americans his age, Donald Trump shared an interest in the mysterious assassination of President John F. Kennedy. So much so that soon after taking office he pledged, as a Washington outsider, to order the release of all related documents kept secret in government vaults.
Now weeks away from leaving office, it appears he’ll leave that task of historical interest and significance to President-elect Joe Biden.

But he did release a lot of documents.
He can’t declassify what they won’t release.
He never got around to it. Kept too busy playing defense against the Mad Maxines of the world.
President Jimmy Carter also made a promise to expose and explain the UFO mysteries. Somehow, he just never got around to it. The economy crashing may have served as a good reason to ‘postpone’ full disclosure. Many think ‘somebody got to him’ and explained that the public was not nearly ready to handle the full truth about UFO and other phenomena.
Hardly of great import at this moment.
Would take a secretary and 5 minutes..
The guy carrying the JFK documents to Trump was accidentally shot to death when someone was cleaning his rifle on his front porch and it went off as the guy was passing by. The shooter was so upset he ran away and was never found. Case is closed and sealed.
The UFO documents were mistakenly erased when a file clerk hit delete downloads by mistake.
What about “common core”?
If his orders aren’t obeyed, then what? No order he gives now will be obeyed after today. Trump will get the blame.
The Lion has been pulled down by the jackals and hyenas of both parties.
He saw what was in them, and understood that the American people couldn’t know the truth.
“ hardly of great import at this moment.”
You can’t say that if you don’t know what’s in them. The assassination of a US president is of no small importance. how why and by whom it happened are hardly insignificant questions. And govts refusal to let us know what it knows raises questions and concerns
We don't know that...he orders the release, it passes down the chain of command to finally reach the file clerk/clerks who pull the files.
At any point along that path DS and Fifth column gov employees can slow walk the process both down and back up the line, adding objections, reviews, excuses, etc to not do their jobs.
Too many here think POTUS has a virtual filing cabinet at his finger tips.
I agree, the comment above that says it would only take a secretary five minutes to do this is a hoot. Things only happen rapidly when something like a rope is hanging in a NASCAR garage.
“He saw what was in them, and understood that the American people couldn’t know the truth.”
The American people crave the truth and can handle it. Sadly, the only secrets in Washington are those kept from the American people. The politicians, the media, and foreign powers know all our secrets.
Julian Assange and Christopher Snowden are the patriots of today. At great personal cost they revealed information hidden from the people. If Trump only does one more thing before January 20, I hope it will be to give both of them a full pardon.
relevancy now ?
a 6 year old pelosi actually did it??
Now back to the mayhem in the capitol ....
Probably the same thing that happened to Jimmy Carter’s pledge to open the UFO files.
Still waiting.
Most likely, the key information being kept secret would be deeply embarassing to friendly countries like Mexico.
That’s Edward Snowden. Very good point, though.
Most sensible thing to me was the mob doing the hit.
He released some, others he used some excuse that included words about possible reasons why not, such as to prevent harm to allies.
