Best deer story that I’ve got. What I was going to college I worked the midnight shift.
One of my friends left a couple hours early to get out there for the hunt.
When we got out of work at our normal time we happened to drive past his house and his truck was still home, so we thought something must’ve gone wrong.
The next day he tells us that after he got home he got ready, went out and sat down on a log to wait for sunrise, and fell asleep.
Right at sunrise a deer walked past and woke him up. He shot it and gutted it, and was home in bed before we got out of work.
Good skills to have in case of varmintus federalis infestations.
You can't teach that kind of level headedness.
