As President, Trump has the executive power to hire and fire entire departments of individuals. At least this is what is taught in civics classes.
When it bacame obvious that the DOJ was not going to prosecute anyone for anything related to Crossfire Hurricane, why didn't President Trump simply get the list of personnel that were referred for prosecution by the Inspector General and simply fire them?
Why didn't he fire every FBI agent that worked for Mueller?
Why didn't he fire Wray?
Why didn't he announce special counsels for the multitude of illigal efforts made by the Obama Administration like Fast and Furious, Bengazi, or the Clinton Foundation?
Why did he continue to surround himself with RINOs that wanted to get a long with the establishment?
We will never see another opportunity like this and yet the greatest President in my lifetime let so much slip through his fingers.

Americans have four years to form a new political party and learn how to print “mail in” ballots and get them into the system. WE ARE THE RESISTANCE NOW!!!
He can fire appointees. FBI agents are not appointees. They are civil servants.
The President cannot just go around firing civil servants.
Trump should have cleaned house as soon as he took office. This was his fatal mistake.
He has been marginalized from the beginning and continuously forced to work within the parameters of the deep state for lack of a better word.
I’m sure Kamala and Pelosi will fix this for good.

I believe he thought there were people he could trust in the corridors of power. He was wrong.
It's like he never really had control of the DOJ. He waited far too long to fire Sessions, and Barr played him.

It is easy to find mistakes made, after 4 years of what we know now. But like all of us, in 2016, Trump did not realize how deep the rot in DC really was.
It was over once the GOP Senate signaled support for the coup in 2017. The DOJ and other important bits of the executive branch were never going to follow Trump’s orders after that.
