In an interview with KPRC, James said a man and a woman came into the store looking at different dogs and landed on a $10,000 exotic bulldog puppy who was 7-months-old at the time.
However, James said the pair took off with the puppy when she went upstairs to grab paperwork for a UPS driver.
Surveillance video shows the couple leaving with James running after them. She told KPRC that the puppy had surgery just days prior and was in need of special medication.
James explained that the man was driving the vehicle and when he “very aggressively” lurched the car forward in her direction the bumper “kind of like slapped me on top of the car.”
KPRC reported that James was on the hood of the car for roughly 10 minutes as the man drove recklessly around the Houston area.
When the man finally came to a stop, James said he grabbed her by her feet, grabbed her chest and started hitting her.
James told KPRC that while she was able to fight back, the couple still ended up getting away with the puppy.

Ha, love Frenchies, they’re such characters.
They are very affectionate, very high strung, from what I’ve seen.
So that works as another selling point.
Nobody wants a Zombie for a puppy.
I know dog breeders. None of them, especially any who might deal in $10k value puppies (which is preposterous - I’d want a baby elephant for that, shipping included) - would ever operate this way.
Everyone can believe it if they choose. I just don’t.
So, you guys believe everything you see on TV and the Internet?
Jeez. No wonder we’re in the mess we’re in.
Actually ours is really mellow. We got him as a retired stud. 5 years old purebred with papers. $600.
He does fart like Satan himself, though. He can clear a room. That’s his Superpower.

Well, considering ‘rule of law’ is no longer valid in this country, stealing is perfectly fine.
Sorry the woman got hurt, but that dog is gone.
I didn’t read the details. I’ll defer to your judgement.
Good place to insert this, I reckon.
A brutally abused Doberman was rescued and given a loving home but was STOLEN from his yard.
PLEASE share the story of Xerxes and get him home to his people.
He’s in an area with dog fighting so this a huge emergency

You shouldn’t take anyone else’s word for anything.
Do your own good diligence and research - with a good dollop of common sense Thought.
If your dog is passing a lot of gas, you need to take a look at what is in the food you are feeding the dog. Look for ground yellow corn and chicken -by-products (head, feet & guts). Corn is difficult to digest and by-products is a very poor source of protein for a meat eating animal. Compare your present dog food to NUTRO dog food to see the difference. If your dog is FAMILY and not just a pet, you should be feeding quality food not cheap food.
I’m not that interested in the article. This story may well be fake. But expensive animals do get stolen. My niece works at a zoo and it’s happened to them.
People steal African Greys and other large parrots all the time down here in Florida, they are pretty expensive.
I’ve worked in a facility where many $$$ of animals were stolen by ‘Animal Rights’ idiots. It happens.
But THIS story is the subject of the thread we’re discussing, and I find the scenario hard to believe.
The Grey was really smart. The Cockatoo, named Gil, was really noisy.
My friend would get tired of Gil's constant squawking and would yell "Shut Up, Gil!".
It wasn't long until every time that Gil squawked the African Grey would tell him to shut up, and do it in my friend's voice.
Bump to the top.
Okay, I’ll bite.
Why would anyone go to the trouble of falsifying the video?
Thank you Ben.
The Doberman community is beside themselves with worry over him.
He could be anywhere, by now.
He’s already suffered the tortures of the damned and sure doesn’t deserve any more.
Which part is false or fabricated? Or is the whole report hogwash?
So who decides what episode we are “allowed” to believe in.... and which ones we are not?

Well, if you go to the linked item, you’ll see that there is composite video. It consisted of security video from inside and outside the store as well as video taken by a motorist of the brave store employee on her ride. It’s likely that motorist’s video that captured the perp’s license plate and led to the identification of the female perp.
