I know of a couple Georgia Republicans that are normally pretty conservative folks who say they aren’t going to vote to “punish” Mitch McConnell for holding up the $2,000 stimulus. Which goes to show just how far the “the Government owes me something” mentality has begun to permeate even conservatives.

And there are about 60 Democrats who can say they are voting Republican for the first time. Try again dummy.

Any time you hear the expression ā€œneeds to be addressedā€ ( or similar) you should know with perfect certainty you are talking to a liberal. This is the rhetoric of someone who thinks that there is a giant problem, that Society should Gear Up and handle it, and most likely, you are part of the problem, and you need to be spanked for your guilt. In other words, it’s a problem, it’s somebody else’s problem, the problem is most likely you, and government needs to step in and handle it. It is a purely socialist expression.

What I find most deceptive (and hence most despicable) about the expression "needs to be addressed" is that it suggests that something / anything must be done (by the All-Powerful State, of course) - without specifying what.

Regards,

Because that sounds so typical of a "lifelong Republican voter".

We use to do that stuff all the time on Talk Radio in Detroit.

We’d call in posing as Life Long Democrats but this election changed us......blah blah.

Oldest trick in the book. LOL

It’s the samey same as the ol’ “I’m a concerned conservative and I can’t support this conservative person/issue because conservatives are mean poopy heads”.

I can understand someone voting Democrat because they grew up that way, and never thought critically about it.

I can easily accept someone who was a young person who voted Democrat, and then they went out on their own and learned the difference between having something given to you and earning it. And paying taxes. And raising a family.

But for someone who was a Republican, and then became a Democrat? No respect at all, not even a smidgen. What kind of perverted thought process would make you go back the other way?

They sure are, and only a non-thinking lefty would believe that the two idiots the Dems. are running in Ga. would achieve anything. They are just more of Schumer’s rubber stamps.
