Most recently they have said that the virus is not transmissible through the eyes, with the exception perhaps of people who have touched a place where somebody just coughed and then rub their eyes...but I don’t imagine that’s a very common scenario. However, we still have these little old ladies here trotting around wearing their Chinese plastic face shields that say, in big blue letters, FACE SHIELD across the front. But if it makes them feel better, that’s fine.
As for the masks, I don’t wear one, but if other people want to wear one and look silly and be unable to breath freely or be understood when they speak, that’s fine by me. I would never laugh at them or insult them, because I know they’re just scared. But don’t try to make me wear one.
there is someone here that likely got it through the eyes in
late 2019 from someone sitting behind him in auditorium seating. he turned his face and got a shot from an Asian coughing behind him. later he found out there were people from Wuhan there.
He had terrible eye issues and had long lasting problems with the eyes...dont know if they have now completely cleared up
