What was once the world’s greatest deliberative body is being reduced to a leftist clown show as the “woke” left struts its stuff.
On Saturday, news broke that the Democrats are going to remove all gendered words from the House of Representatives. On Sunday, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a pastor, opened the 117th Congress with a prayer. At its conclusion, he said “amen,” and then added “a-women.” What he said was both stupid and sacrilegious.
I wrote here about the newly “woke” House’s push to remove gendered language. I pointed out that, in English at least, gendered words fall into two categories. There are words that describe a job using both male and female terms, such as “chairman v. chairwoman” or “steward v. stewardess.” For the most part, it’s not a big deal to change those words. Indeed, most of them have already been changed in ordinary usage. We speak of the “chair” or of “flight attendants.”
However, the House is also going to do away with gendered words that apply specifically to the realities of human biology. No longer will there be “sons and daughters” or “mothers and fathers,” or any other descriptors that are tied to genetic codes that make people male or female. Instead, there will be “parents” and “children,” as well as other “gender neutral” language, as if there is no difference between the sexes.

But in any reasonable environment, Cleaver would have been laughed off the podium. He was rambling on about Brahma and all sorts of peculiar things or deities, or at least judging by what could be understood from his poor diction.
What a joke. The Dems would almost be funny if they weren’t out to kill us.
He’s a Doctor of Divinaty don’t cha know.
Will we be hearing about those awomendments to the Constitution?

Any person over the age of eight—if they have a couple of brain cells to run together—should understand the meaning of common phrases.
Diction = choice of words (not pronunciation).

Cleaver was the reason I moved out of Kansas City, worked for companies in different cities or states, and swore I’d work had to never purchase anything from KCMO, so ensure that I’d never have to give any sort of tax money to the clown show that he ran in Kansas City, MO!

His diction was poor. He’s supposedly the graduate of a seminary of some Southern Protestant denomination but his speech is like that of a barely literate person.
Oh, and he enunciates badly too.
It's a travesty that stewards and stewardesses have been reclassified as "flight attendants" and that stewards and stewardesses accepted the change. "Steward" and "stewardess" imply authority, responsibility, leadership and duty while "flight attendant" has a more menial connotation, as in "gas station attendant."
