the inhabitants of Assyrian civilization in the Paleolithic period that date back to 2,00,000 years.

There was no Assyrian civilization or any other human civilization 200,000 years ago.

FTA:

“humans used rivers to reach deep into the interior regions of the Arabian Peninsula in ancient times”...

It’s always smart to live upstream. ;-)

The amazing thing is that SA hasn’t changed socially/culturally in all that time.

Actually your looking at several knapped bifaces and possibly the hammer stone they used to knap them. The other stones are most likely the debitage from the knapping process. Probably not their first choice when it came to material to produce tools from but you work with what’s available.

I’m a natural skeptic but it seems obvious that the stones were chipped to form shapes and edges.

This has nothing to do with the Assyrian civilization. The Arabian peninsula has been a hot bed of Homo erectus finds. 200,000ya fits that time frame.

I don’t think these humans were Homo Sapiens...

Homo Erectus? Neanderthalis? Heidelbergensis?

The Middle Paleolithic, this early in, didn’t see Homo Sapiens outside of Africa until 125,000 years ago—in the Levant.

Also, it was common for Erectus, Neaderthal and Heidelbergenis to use local stone, whereas Sapiens traveled many, many miles for quality stone to make tools. It’s one important clue when archaeologists are trying to find true sapiens settlements.

Saudi Arabia still doesn’t have homo sapiens and the tools they found were actually found in a hospital...

... still being used.

Why not? The climate on earth was not significantly different.

I think that humans showing up 12,000 years ago is a little naive. But I don’t “know”.

Did they have the “Craftsman” logo on them. If so they are still under warranty.
