The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Today’s Cryptogram is from the Arkansas Gazette.
4 minutes is good
3 minutes is an excellent score today
2 minutes superior
Dumb. Get a life.
You talking to me or responding to the quote? 😀
Bingo. A one trick pony, or as Jackass demented Joe would say:” a one horse pony.”

Instant author recognition solves it in seconds.
You need a cipher key to solve an encrypted message... Why would I waste my time trying to figure it out by trial and error?
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Whats the point of this????
So the comment was directed at me.
Why not try and solve it. It’s actually a lot of fun:
Today is an easy one from a well known author with three names.
Huh?
Error wasn’t really an option on this one.
I am an engineer. I need a cipher key, then I can solve it.
I’ll put you both on our ping list.
Use Hal’s Helper
I don’t have clue how to start this and I wrote java code for a living. I tried the tool thingy. I still need a cipher key...
None, like reading the Sunday funnies that have expired.
Get a life beyond your one trick pony.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
Sending you a clue to your private reply
