I have a friend living in TN and that worries me.
Tennessee is going through their peak right now. But I predict in three weeks from noe, they should be on their way down. The Upper Midwest have hit their peak and they are in their way down.
E. Tenn. hospitals are definitely stressed right now esp. in Knoxville area
“Tennessee is going through their peak right now. But I predict in three weeks from now, they should be on their way down. The Upper Midwest have hit their peak and they are in their way down.”
I believe that you are talking about natural peaks occurring in the spread of the disease.
Additionally, the vaccination program is getting underway in earnest. That is going to have a rapidly building effect over the coming weeks and months.
Three million have already gotten their first shot, but a lot of the retail level administration will just begin in earnest over the next week.
CVS and Walgreens were contracted to send teams to nursing homes to administer the vaccines, but they were held up due to confusion over the procedures governing consent. That has apparently been clarified, and they are underway.
Lots of local health departments had some initial delays in getting there programs running, but are also ramping up now.
The CDC changed their guidance, to make those over 65 a higher category 1B priority (right after 1A health care workers and nursing home residents). Several States and Localities have already opened availability to general elderly populations (eg. Nebraska for over 65, Colorado for over 70).
Deliveries of vaccines are outstripping the administration, and inventories are building. The initial period of scarcity may be wrapping up, and we should start seeing State and Local Governments relaxing restrictions, and start taking more active measures, to get more vaccines into more arms quicker.
We will likely see the Program ramp up to a million or more per day, this month.
1,000 less then yesterday. Monday’s numbers will be ugly with catching up on numbers missing from the holiday weekend.
Monday's numbers should be similar to last Monday's numbers, both occurring after a big three-day holiday weekend.
I predict 4 to 5 thousand deaths either on Monday or Tuesday.
It’s what we should have done, support and protect thr at risk and let it spread to gain immunity among the healthy
Hindsight is 20/20 but President Trump’s greatest mistake was to allow Dr. Fauci and others on the Coronavirus Taskforce to shut down our country for 15 days to “slow the spread”.
