Wall Street Journal editorial board knocks Trump's 'embarrassing Electoral College hustle'

The Wall Street Journal's editorial board ripped President Trump’s “embarrassing Electoral College hustle” in an op-ed Wednesday as he digs in on his refusal to concede last month's election to President-elect Joe Biden.

The op-ed comes as Trump pushes congressional Republicans to go along with a long-shot bid led by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) to object to the Electoral College vote when it comes before Congress next week. The effort is not likely to secure a majority in either chamber.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Wednesday became the first senator to back the move to overturn the election results.

“Republicans should be embarrassed by Mr. Trump’s Electoral College hustle,” the Journal’s editorial board wrote.

Most of the "media" keeps using the term, "Trump's move to overturn the election results"

The election results have already been "overturned" by democrat fraud.

I suppose the correct language might be that he is trying to "return", or "legitimize" the election results.

It became a big trumpet for the neocons and their asinine wars; of course, there is a lot of money in war and Wall Street is interested ONLY in that.

Is the WSJ’s Editorial Board corrupt? This piece is pathetic. It’s focused on the technical aspects of overturning the election and doesn’t discuss the motivation for doing so. Can the Board explain Pennsylvania’s 3am vote spikes? That would be helpful. Didn’t want to mention the slippery slope of a months long election with reporting of results, easy access to ballots, USPS being used for a polling station while they endorsed Biden and can’t deliver mail consistently, and an election decision delivered after the polls closed (”Chicago Style”), which at a minimum enables the potential appearance of fraud let alone massive fraud? That would be actually helpful instead of avoiding the real issues while creating a piece seemingly stoking their egos.

Add in the WSJ’s avoidance of the possible Hunder Biden hard drive issue and maybe we see their real intentions.

Mitch wants to be the King. He doesn’t care if the GOP loses the Senate. Mitch will be crowned.

The WSJ Editors claim that the Trump lost to a surge in “suburban vote” and not in the cities. Here for a Bloomberg article promoting the claim that comes form its “City Lab,” whatever that is: https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020-suburban-density-election/

The premise is based upon “Democratic gains” from 2016 and only on the Presidential race, not entire tickets, so stop right there. 2016 is a stupid benchmark for comparison and this “study” builds in the fraud.

I’d love to see someone else’s analysis of this lie, as it has become the justification of the political class for ignoring plain theft.

Well WSJ’s view appears incorrect since the vote surges came from cities post election.
