Sadly, Pete Townshend leans left, so a good year to him would be a bad year for me.
Best rock band ever.
It is very dark when you look at the content....like "Wicked Uncle Ernie".......
And this 1921 isn't exactly uplifting.....What was it the boy witnessed? Adultery? Murder?
The refrain at the end is like the media and big tech today on election fraud:

But, to be honest, I gotta feeling 21 is going gunna be a bad year.
Pretty much sums up this year. Whatever was left of American innocence was killed on November 4th by the unholy union of the Deep State, globalists, anarchists and political classes, and anyone who has tried to reveal the truth has been ridiculed, threatened and silenced by the media and Big Tech.

I believe Pete Townsend got himself into a little bit of trouble with some not-so-legal pornographic material. But apparently rock stars get a pass.
I’ve had that line from the song/movie stuck in my head for years and it hit me weeks ago that “twenty one” fits right in place of “fifty one”. It’s scary how time flies.

I don't recommend reading Pete Townsend's book unless you're mentally prepared to process what he describes as far as being molested as a youth but it sheds light on a lot of what's behind many of The Who lyrics.
