I've got a feeling twenty-one Is going to be a good year
(Excerpt) Read more at youtu.be ...
Sadly, Pete Townshend leans left, so a good year to him would be a bad year for me.
Best rock band ever.
It is very dark when you look at the content....like "Wicked Uncle Ernie".......
And this 1921 isn't exactly uplifting.....What was it the boy witnessed? Adultery? Murder?
The refrain at the end is like the media and big tech today on election fraud:
“You didn’t hear it, you didn’t see it
You never heard it not a word of it
You won’t say nothing to no one
Never tell a soul, what you know is the truth”
I had no reason to be over-optimistic.

Didn't think I could do it, did ya?
More like the Punk (Hunter) meets the Godfather (Pedo Joe).
But, to be honest, I gotta feeling 21 is going gunna be a bad year.
Pretty much sums up this year. Whatever was left of American innocence was killed on November 4th by the unholy union of the Deep State, globalists, anarchists and political classes, and anyone who has tried to reveal the truth has been ridiculed, threatened and silenced by the media and Big Tech.
“Best rock band ever.”
Agreed
and to all those that don’t think so?
Screwel you.
Strong covfefe this morning.
Baba blaring in the background.
It’s all good.
You don’t need to fight, to prove you’re right.
Somehow when you smile I can brave bad weather...
I believe Pete Townsend got himself into a little bit of trouble with some not-so-legal pornographic material. But apparently rock stars get a pass.
I’ve had that line from the song/movie stuck in my head for years and it hit me weeks ago that “twenty one” fits right in place of “fifty one”. It’s scary how time flies.
“When I was twenty-one it was a very good year
It was a very good year for city girls who lived up the stair
With all that perfumed hair and it came undone
When I was twenty-one”
Or this:
When I Was One-and-Twenty. BY A. E. HOUSMAN
When I was one-and-twenty
I heard a wise man say,
“Give crowns and pounds and guineas
But not your heart away;
Give pearls away and rubies
But keep your fancy free.”
But I was one-and-twenty,
No use to talk to me.
When I was one-and-twenty
I heard him say again,
“The heart out of the bosom
Was never given in vain;
’Tis paid with sighs a plenty
And sold for endless rue.”
And I am two-and-twenty,
And oh, ’tis true, ’tis true.
I don't recommend reading Pete Townsend's book unless you're mentally prepared to process what he describes as far as being molested as a youth but it sheds light on a lot of what's behind many of The Who lyrics.
That pic is gonna be dead-on accurate, I’m afraid...
