I got to see the Rock Opera "Tommy" in L.A. in the early 70's.

It is very dark when you look at the content....like "Wicked Uncle Ernie".......

And this 1921 isn't exactly uplifting.....What was it the boy witnessed? Adultery? Murder?

I don't recommend reading Pete Townsend's book unless you're mentally prepared to process what he describes as far as being molested as a youth but it sheds light on a lot of what's behind many of The Who lyrics.

I saw a Canadian-produced.ballet of Tommy twice back in the day. It was great!
They danced to the original album, played loud.
