All the astrophysicists tell us that these things, asteroids, comets and even planets themselves, come from the remnants of stars that have gone nova or supernova at the end of their long and industrious lives.
They tell us that these stars elements then coalesce into new stars and planetary rings that form new planets.
Where, and how, then, do they become ‘rocks’?

What are rocks other than atoms of elements combined in different ways? Carbon, oxygen, iron and everything heavier than hydrogen are byproducts of solar fusion and supernova as I understand it.
