Washington's NFL team, Cleveland's MLB team ... and now the Vancouver Canucks?
The NHL squad is now feeling pressure to change ... this after an Indigenous Studies expert claims the main logo featured on the team's uniforms is cultural appropriation.
Sean Carleton -- a University of Manitoba history professor -- spelled out his concerns in a lengthy social media thread this week ... explaining why he feels the team's orca logo should be replaced.
Carleton says the whale -- which was created nearly 3 decades ago and has elements of artwork designed by Haida in it -- is hurting indigenous people.

And a majority of Canadians are just whipped, spineless cucks enough to do it, too
I really think it would be a good idea for the team to change their logo. Then once and for all everyone would be happy and there would be nothing else for anyone to complain about. I can’t see what the harm could be in giving in to the mob just this one time.
Won’t it feel nice once everyone gets along with one another?
Pretty soon pro sports will be known as HC Vancouver or FC Washington similar to other countries and or leagues. No more Canadiens, Diamondbacks, Vikings or Lakers.
You guys realize this is all BS, right? The ONLY reason these changes are being demanded is really because they need to boost flagging merchandise sales.
Or they could mimic the Blackhawks:
On Sunday, the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, marking the first day of Native American Heritage Month, announced that in deference to the Native American community, they will preface home games by reading an “Indigenous land acknowledgment.”
The team said they would issue “a formal statement that recognizes the unique and enduring relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional territories,” The Hill reported.
Just change every team name to the “nearest major city hockey/baseball/football, etc team” and a simple Text only logo.
In honor of the thoughtful contributions by Sean Carleton, the team should rename itself the Vancouver Stupid Ass Professors. I’ll have to give some thought to a logo. Perhaps the guy with his head where the sun don’t shine.

I can fix this ridiculous problem. The name “New York Yankees” offends me. I live in Texas so calling a team the Yankees isn’t inclusive as it refers to people living in the Northeast.
We need to change the name. Watch how many people go nuts over this.
My Father in Law was a huge Canucks fan. He died about 5 yrs ago. I’m glad he’s not here to see this sorry state of affairs regarding his team or the pathetic world today.
Henceforth, pro teams will use ‘XXXX’ city ‘XXXX’ sport team. Same with places of indoctrination. XXXX city school #xxx. No more names. Sort of like “Washington D.C. football team”. If two teams, XXXX city XXXX team 1-2 depending on seniority.
Because they’re OKAY!
