Which of your favorite politicians, "advocates," or media people meet the DSM-5 criteria for sociopathy (ASPD)? Only three of seven required!
1 - Doesn’t respect social norms or laws. They consistently break laws or overstep social boundaries.
2 - Lies, deceives others, uses false identities or nicknames, and uses others for personal gain.
3 - Doesn’t make any long-term plans. They also often behave without thinking of consequences.
4 - Shows aggressive or aggravated behavior. They consistently get into fights or physically harm others.
5 - Doesn’t consider their own safety or the safety of others.
6 - Doesn’t follow up on personal or professional responsibilities. This can include repeatedly being late to work or not paying bills on time.
7 - Doesn’t feel guilt or remorse for having harmed or mistreated others.
Please let’s start the identity politics again, I did miss it so much.. 🤮
Sounds like the kind of person who grew up in a fatherless environment.
And that list is not a bunch of generalities at all.
Pretty sure that’s also the Antifa recruitment questionnaire.
Geez....I can only get 6 of the 7......
But give me a little more time and I can get there!
Pelosi. Schumer. Schiff. Nadler.
Both Clintons. Mad Max.
My ex wife, but she isn’t a politician...
UGH! my sister in law, but I don’t think she’s a sociopath, she’s probably narcissistic personality disorder, or pretty darned close to it.
We just buried my mother this past Monday. She did not attend the services and turned the house into an uproar. I don’t know how I will recover from the chaos and her viciousness. At this point I never want to see or speak to her again. My brother is firmly in her grip and doesn’t see it. I don’t know what to do :(
On the other hand, we just used to call those people, “EVIL.”

I was not aware that "sociopath" is an identity, or that sociopaths have organized a political movement, e.g. "Sociopaths For Justice.".
But to help you clarify....
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/identity%20politics
Definition of identity politics:
politics in which groups of people having a particular racial, religious, ethnic, social, or cultural identity tend to promote their own specific interests or concerns without regard to the interests or concerns of any larger political group
Perhaps Al-Anon or something similar?
Maybe alcohol isn't involved, but I know people who've had success with that.
Agree. It's a very very short step from one to the other.
Sociopath <---> Evil.
That's if you define either term as "no conscience or concern for others whatsoever, and able to lie without restraint or shame."
Many politicians and "advocates" meet those criteria, IMO.
Thanks, Jeepers! No, alcohol wasn’t (and isn’t) involved. She has been told in the past she needs psychiatric help and that has yet to happen. My mother was lying, freshly dead, on the bed, hospice nurses were here w/me and my brother was wailing at the bedside because he missed mom by about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, she was having a meltdown in front of the rest of us....after hospice left, she continued thru the week wish various hysterical behavior and “illnesses” that made no sense. THe ER prescribed nothing for her as they found nothing wrong. They did Covid and flu testing and all was negative.
I had gotten maybe 3-4 hours of sleep during the previous 3 days, due to caring for my mother in her final stage and couldn’t believe that my sister in law was pulling this on me. It was surreal. Not a word of condolence, no curiosity about the service that I threw together. Really, I want no further interaction w/her. At all.
Well good luck with her. Sounds difficult.
Rd later.
