DAYTONA BEACH — A Florida woman told authorities that she fatally shot her boyfriend in self-defense on Christmas Eve when he raised a tomahawk over her as she was lying in bed.
Jill Fritch told deputies that she grabbed a gun and shot Troy Sorrell late Thursday out of fear that he was going to attack her with the tomahawk with a 2-foot handle.

She had an order of restraint on him for years, and the cops were called in the past. She has every reason to have a piece near the bed for protection.

And, I suppose, the most important question these days - did the shootee have Native American/First Nations blood, or was he engaging in Cultural Appropriation? Because if he was engaged in Cultural Appropriation, he clearly deserved to be shot by someone more Woke.
Another misleading title from terrible journalists.
How hard would it be to change the title from a lie
“she shot someone who threatened her”
to a title that is actually accurate
“she shot someone who she claims threatened her”
