Christmas arrived in Los Angeles County with hospitals in a full-blown coronavirus crisis.
There are now so many patients that some hospitals are running dangerously low on oxygen and other supplies critical to treating those with COVID-19.
Patients are waiting as many as eight hours in ambulances before they can enter the emergency room. With intensive care units at 0% available capacity, health officials are urging that people avoid emergency rooms or dialing 911 for assistance unless absolutely necessary.

Supply shortage? They were not really prepared?
Asking for federal assistance? I have not heard of any CA elected official asking for federal help at this time...
I live in LA County...At this time, I would do my best to avoid going to the emergency room...
In the article, the LA County Health Director complained about too many people going to the shopping malls...She thought that some shopping malls are not following her orders...The shopping malls are supposed to maintain 20% capacity...I dislike this lady...
Why is Los Angeles such a stupid place? It’s one thing to be the biggest toilet in the Nation, but it’s another to be so damn stupid about it.
Just wall the damn place off like in “Escape From New York.”
L.A. had 9 months to prepare themselves. We know Gavin Newsom will never ask President Trump for help.
“I watched my local TV news...I got the impression that the CA health system will collapse very soon...”
That’s Cloward-Piven at work.
And their solution to an overwhelmed system is to invite in more illegal aliens and give them “free” health care.
Except they don’t have money to pay for it. Their tax base are all leaving California. The entire California is to be on federal welfare to pull it off.
I was in the emergency room once this week.....and in the hospital twice this week.
In the Emergency Room at Keck [USC] ... not crowded at all. I was in for massively LOW blood pressure, nit Covid although I was given a Covid test and was given an “all clear” 24 hours later.
I was in Cedars Sinai Hospital where almost all of my doctors are. As you know, the place is simply massive. I did not get an idea how crowded it was since I did not enter through emergency....but emergency on a normal day is almost unbelievable....a normal wait time of 6 to 8 hours to get any help at all. I went straight to my doctors office which had been closed for most of the year. I have been doing virtual visits with him. I’m going back again this week.
Running short on oxygen? I work in a hospital ER. I’ve worked in two others in the last 25 years. You don’t run out of oxygen. That’s like saying “We’re running out of air’’.
This is fear mongering and it’s what the Democrats want. They want us all to be in a perpetual fear so we won’t notice we’re evolving into a police state.
it they go to the ER without covid they’ll certainly probably leave with it....all those sick people...coughing..hacking, sneezing....
when they plead for people to not come to the hospital, they're basically telling the legal citizens to stay away.
I thought California was one of the most masked, locked down states in the nation per orders of Führer Newsome. And yet, they are spiking into dangerous virus infections?
Two thought emerge:
- more lies to breath new life into the “pandemic” scam, cementing government control
- the socialist chicken coming home to roost
This same article seems to run in LA papers every Friday.
Yes. They’re “overwhelmed” because the weekend is here and people are getting blasted and doing stupid things to themselves and each other.
It’s not COVID, it’s simply another weekend like every other weekend, with added gaslighting.
I was in the emergency room in Visalia California. I had no taste and smell due to a ear infection. they put me in a small room with 30 other corvid patients waiting on tests. some in the room it was obvious with out the test they had corvid or bad flue reaction... two issues I had was why pack so many in the same room waiting for the test and why did they not separate those that it was obvious had covid from those that there was a Question mark. my test came back negative on covid but I have decided to self isolate because I think chances are the way that the emergency room treated it that I am a strong candidate to having caught it while there.
While the AMA approved hydroxycloraquin protocol is still banned by the state.
OMG...I agree with your analysis. I wish you well in avoiding Covid or any bad effects,
okay why are they having a problem? The state has been shut down more than any other state.. If Staying home and covering your face is the norm than under the information from Dr. Farci than there shouldn’t be a problem!!
Anything the MSM "reports" should automatically be questioned.
They have lost all credibility.
In fact, the more fear inducing the headline, the more likely the story is partially, or entirely, bullsh#t.
I was in the emergency room in Visalia California. I had no taste and smell due to a ear infection.

I read your story...I don’t think the hospital was well organized...I think you have a good reason to be worried.
More Covid Fear Porn IMHO.
Don’t most hospitals have their own institutional sized oxygen concentrator that is built in, to supply oxygen to every bed, every exam and OR room etc.?. Pretty much the only time they use oxygen tanks or individual concentrators is for transporting between rooms?
And even if they are using the tanks, don’t they have any welding gas suppliers in Los Angeles? Here is a dirty little secret: Medical oxygen usually comes out of the same machines that produce welding oxygen.
