Just wondering if any of my fellow Freepers are, like me, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Unlike previous years, however, I'm not quite alone, as I am now sharing my home with a two year old Greyhound I adopted last Spring.
Other than he and I, it's a cozy, quiet, peaceful and solo Christmas Eve. How about everyone else?
I am alone too, except for two cats.

I am alone. Made the big move to South Dakota from NY in October.
No family here.
Wanted to live in a free state.
Happy, but a little lonely.

I never feel alone, as solitude provides absolute peace of mind.
You’re lucky. Greyhounds are great dogs. I’m spending Christmas with one Treeing Walker Coonhound, one Greycoon (which is a Greyhound/Coonhound mix) and one wacko wife. Two out of three ain’t bad I guess.
Not alone, but a small gathering. Just my wife and I and her son. My son will be home next week. Watching the Band of Brothers marathon right now on the History Channel.
At sister in laws with 10 relatives.

My love died last year. I do have a cat that is truly a gift to me. He got stuck underneath my front porch stairs. I heard his little cries as I was about to leave for work one morning. His little kitten eyes had not even opened yet. I had to bottle feed him for weeks. Needless to say he thinks I am his mom.
So, alone...
Not exactly alone but with just the wife which is very unusual for Christmas Eve. Normally we have a huge crowd over or we are making the rounds. But so many people skittish over the Chinese virus are opting out. Which is sad. We are both in our upper 50s and we are living life - outside every day and carrying out our normal routines as much as possible. But so many others want to hunker down.
My heart goes out to you. Hugs
He’s my first Greyhound. I’ve only had him a few months and he’s already in the “best dog ever” conversation.
At my eldest brother’s home..and some idiot Trump-hating liberal relatives whom I’m sure will gloat about Groper Joe.
That’s why folks, you need to trash your liberal enemies which I did every Christmas time, regardless if they are your family.
Every year.
