Q should have come up with better names than that! Addressing the message, not the messenger.
I find the term distasteful myself because of modern connotation but if you go back to the old testament you have something similar in the use of the word “Seer”. The nations had their false religions and “seers” but at times the prophets are also referred to by the same term. And in modern days, many neo-pagans also use the word seer where we would use the word prophet. Point understood though.
Perhaps they named themselves that long before Q came on the scene; or were given that nickname by others.
