It is with great pain that I am sharing with you that my 42 year old son was killed in a car crash yesterday. My family and I are mourning and processing and would prefer to be incommunicado for the time being.

His son was killed yesterday in an auto accident.
Even $15.5 billion in wealth won't stop death.
Let that be a lesson to all.
And prayers for the family.
So sad. Solace to his family.
Prayers for his soul and may God comfort his family. At Christmas too, what a heartbreak for him s dad.
I had troubles finding an article that didn't violate web publishing rules.
On Thursday afternoon, Devon Dalio’s car crashed into the Verizon store in the Riverside Commons shopping center on East Putnam Avenue near Exit 5 on I-95 and caught fire, reported Hearst Connecticut Media.
About Ray Dalio:
Headquartered in Westport, Bridgewater Associates is widely known as the largest hedge fund in the world and Ray Dalio is recognized as Connecticut's wealthiest resident.

Not as big a deal over in flyover country, unless one of his holding bought out the company that you worked for and looted it.
But he made a lot of $$ for many 401k's.
Great idea. Bring wealth into the conversation. Very progressive of you.

It always amazes me when a person, who doesn’t know who the article is about, says “WHO”?
I mean, seriously, why did you click on this thread to begin with?
Oh, wait, I know, so you can say “who?” Cool, man. You win the internet today!

He’s been preparing to move his family office to Singapore. Wonder if he knows too much about something?

Where ya read that
That’s an interesting description of the crash.
I know they had bad weather, but that typically makes everybody slow down, so there are a lot of wrecks but not as many personal injury accidents.
Very smart man. He took a sizable hit this year due to the coronavirus, but saw 2007-2008 coming and positioned his company and investors to make money, not lose their shirts.
Progressive? Not at all.
Just a reminder that death is the great equalizer of us all, and that we will meet our Creator one day.
Rich, poor, famous or just another Joe.
Indeed, if he could, I imagine he would give-up all he has in exchange for his son’s life.
I watch his interviews and podcasts. He has a very common-sense view of our present economic conditions.
prayers for his son and his family.
When a car crashes and bursts into flames it is suspicious (unless it is a Telsa—then it is a “feature” of the vehicle. :-) ).
How many “teens” and communists are setting fires in Singapore?
Our demographics and political direction don’t point to a positive outcome.
I agree. An unfortunate death, but something here seems fishy.
The remark just means the commenter is doesn’t follow financial news.
