Given all of the well-known benefits to eating eggs—which range from boosting your immune system to helping you lose weight to improving your cognitive health—you may have wondered if it's possible to eat too many of them. After all, with 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of healthy fat, and lots of vitamins, the humble egg is among the most nutritious foods on the planet. But according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of South Australia, Qatar University, and the China Medical University, the answer is most certainly yes—and the results will surprise you. Read on for more on what the scientists discovered, and for more pressing news about your breakfast, make sure you know why Science Says It's Dangerous to Drink Your Coffee This Way.
The study, published in The British Journal of Nutrition, focused on nearly 30 years of data (1991 to 2019) for roughly 9,000 adults in China, where diabetes cases are on the rise. "Over the past few decades China has undergone a substantial nutritional transition that's seen many people move away from a traditional diet comprising grains and vegetables, to a more processed diet that includes greater amounts of meat, snacks and energy-dense food," explained Ming Li, MD, Ph.D, an epidemiologist at the University of South Australia. "Diet is a known and modifiable factor that contributes to the onset Type 2 diabetes, so understanding the range of dietary factors that might impact the growing prevalence of the disease is important."

Your experts and your government are lying to you.
No-no, the last time they said that eggs were good for you but the "science" changed.
You need to keep up, donchaknow. 😁
“ Ultimately, they found that eating more than 50 grams per day—or the equivalent of eating one egg per day—”had an increased risk of diabetes by 60 percent.”
Oh BS.
This isn’t SCIENCE - they did a statistical analysis of medical records for people that had diabetes plus kept dietary logs and people who didn’t have diabetes and kept dietary logs, shook the magic 8 ball and said - Eggs was the “only” difference.
Maybe it was eggs Benedict, maybe they were overweight and ate eggs (and it was the weight).
It’s the same thing from the idiot who campaigned in the 80s to “stop heart disease” by cajoling McDonald’s into stop using beef tallow in their fries for trans fats!
Guess what?! The trans fats were thousands of times more dangerous!
but ... but ... but ... I thought the science was settled!
Just goes to show that nothing in this world is new. And, history repeats itself because of poorly educated dummies.
20 here.
Step up your game.
Eggs make zero contribution towards diabetes. Carbs on the other hand have everything to do with it. Expect we will be continually bombarded with this BS as it is easier to feed populations carbs vs animal proteins.
Lysenko science continues unabated.
My Dad passed at 98. He said his secret was eating an egg every day, red wine and dancing.
I eat fewer eggs that you would expect as we have 80 chickens, and get 4 dozen a day.
We only keep the ones not good enough to sell, and we probably eat a couple dozen a week.
Horseshit sure has traction this week.
Just like “Russian hacking”...
Cure the virus of too many eggs by wearing a mask.
I have 3 raw eggs every morning and have for the last 20 years, A little salt and pepper with a liberal splash of Louisiana hot sauce in a glass and mix in 3 eggs. Doesn’t taste much different than cooked eggs.
Indeed anybody who eats 100 year old eggs can’t be to quick.
When George Bush was there they gave him some and he showed them what it tasted like.
(Barfed it up)but he told them it was a flu thingy LOL.
If eggs, tuna, rice, or broccoli could kill you, I would be dead.
I get all my dietary advice from China. 😁
The article recommends alternatives such as peanut butter.
About once a week I get a hankering for what I call a Paddington Bear sandwich for breakfast. Peanut butter and orange marmalade. Don’t laugh until you try it.
“Rocky style” eggs are not in my consumption list.
I might eat more eggs than you, but you win the method contest.
“ anyone got a cool hand Luke meme”
My mind always wanders to a good car wash.
