This December Turner Classic Movies have a classic Movie from 1958 All I Have To Give with Cameron Mitchell, Glynis Johns, Patty McCormack. It is about a Scottish Man and Wife who Move to America and land in Wisconsin in 1850. True Story.. It is on Demand great movie a real tear jerker..
seen it i think- kind of a weird movie too if its the one im thinking of
And it’s based on a true story, as I recall. Wonderful story and acting.
don’t you need a paid subscription for TCM?
if that’s the movie- then nope- i haven’t seen that one-i was thinking of another movie- similar- immigrants come to America- scratch out a living in very very hard times- wife wants to go back to homeland, but they don’t go-
I think so- we have cable, and had to get the higher level subsciption in order to get it
At 97 years old, Glynis Johns is still alive.
It is titled “All Mine to Give,” the title you gave is a Backstreet Boys song.

I thought I typed All Mine to Give!!!
I’ve seen it a couple of times, it’s a good movie. Cameron Mitchell later played Uncle Buck in the TV show The High Chaparral.
I did I meant to Type ALL MINE TO GIVE..Sorry about that!

She don’t want to go back. She loves the town except for one busy body!

He did!
“don’t you need a paid subscription for TCM?”
Yes, I think you do need a paid subscription to see it on TCM. However; I would guess you might be able to watch the full movie on youtube without a subscription, if you search for it.
TCM is about the only channel we miss since we cut our cable about 10 years ago. I just wish it would stream independent of packages like so many others do now. I’d gladly pay several dollars per month for such quality entertainment. We’d even go back to cable or dish if they’d let us pick and choose.
Classic Reel has classic movies, but their quality is really low and they edit many of them. Their platform sucks too.
TCM is about the only channel I have on. I missed it too, cutting cable in 2006.
I have it now on Sling TV, with the movie option. Unfortunately CNN in on it, never clicked on by me though!
Want to watch a great classic “ How Green was my Valley”
“Valley” is a favorite of mine, especially the school part, teaching the boy to fight, and the ultimate justice for the teacher!
“The Bishop’s Wife” with David Niven, Cary Grant, and Loretta Young. Another favorite Christmas film!
And don’t forget “The Man who Came to Dinner”!
