PHILADELPHIA -- Slice pizza shop in Philadelphia is putting a spin on the traditional 7 Fishes feast.
And they are turning it into their latest pizza creation.
South Philly welcomes Curiosity Doughnut popup
The pizza has tuna, crab meat, anchovies, sardines, clams, shrimp, and mussels.
While the 7 Fishes tradition takes place on Christmas Eve, the shop is offering this unique pizza all through December.

But it probably is. That is of course why I was specific, however.

My favorite pizza joint (Ledo Restaurant in College Park, MD), used to make a seafood pizza with some kind of white sauce. Pretty good, but pricey.

OK. I am with you on that. Canned tuna and pizza do not go together.

Yes. They moved up to College Park in 2010 and the restaurant closed in 2020. Tommy (owner) is up there in years and it was time. But brother spun off franchises years ago and they’re doing well.

Wow, that's kind of too bad they abandoned College Park entirely. You'd think they'd have hired another manager or sold the franchise, since the locations in walking distance of the U of Maryland (current enrollment 40,000) would be a major source of revenue. The closest ones to College Park now are Cheverly, DC and Laurel. Strange.

There's one out in our neck of the woods, but the franchise owners are Asian folks of some kind, and it doesn't taste like Ledo's pizza at all. Entirely different spices.

The restaurant was too big to turn into a franchise, but I was told that the other brother bought the restaurant from Tommy. Probably that distance to other franchises was to allow the restaurant to have a big enough base.
Texas is lacking in decent pizza.

Could have been even worse if they had added oysters too.

Oh yes it could be far worse - try adding raw Skate liver (a Portuguese delicacy).

I did have some okay pizza in Dallas when we went to visit the 6th Floor Museum. It was an okay joint during the daytime, but I don’t want to speculate as to what showed up after the sun went down.
