Shingrix was the worst shot experience I’ve had. Did not feel good. Only lasted a 24-36 hrs. Able to work but I was a little ill. One of my partners had 102 fever. It’s very effective and I recommend it but I warn my pts ahead of time
“ When I left, I cannot quantify the wave of relief and genuine happiness that I had. I was reflecting that in 7 days, I would not longer have to personally worry about this disease causing a tragic outcome in me personally. I also was overjoyed that the means in 7 - 10 days I will no longer be a threat to my family, my elderly parents, and I won’t have to get any further CoVID tests.”
Oh if only that were true. We already know that the vaccine is only 94% effective. We don’t know how long it’s effective ( the Moderna one is supposedly only good for two weeks)
You apparently don’t understand hiw vacvines work. It doesn’t guarantee you won’t get the disease. All it does it wake your immune system up to recognize and fight it
I’ve had the antibody test, which came out negative. But my doc seemed to suggest that it’s not really a good indicator as to whether you’ve actually been infected at some point (?)
(Though I suspect it may be more accurate than the PCR is. Gas-Dr?)
The reported anaphylactic responses have been to the second shot
I have Math Degrees with a statistics emphasis.
Statements like this strike me as BS.

There are trials exceeding 200,000 patients who disagree. I will go with the science on this one.
Thanks VERY much.
PCR is technically being used to diagnose active disease, but as been well elucidated elsewhere is not a great test because of the over amplification and while it may demonstrate presence of the virus in a sample, it may not quantify if sufficient to cause an infection. Its the old “true - true but unrelated” foil.
There is a narrow window of actual detectable antibodies usually around 90 days. After this — it gets to T-cell immunity with memory. So It is correct it is not a good indicator of infection unless caught within 90 days of symptoms.
Thank you, that is quite a nice thing to day. I appreciate it.
The anthrax vaccine was much worse. But having had shingles, I'd take 10 anthrax shots to avoid another bout with shingles.
I'd like to add my thanks for all you and your brothers and sisters are doing.
Just doing our jobs.
deep thinking
Day “1” is not a statistical valid sample of effects.
“Joy” is an introspective interpretation.
(Have not seen proportionality studies (dose quantity/individual)
I was asked to give my personal reflections. These are my reflections, and they are valid. I think that an observational report is quite valid.
“If I turn into lib Steve Dallas from Bloom County, please someone find me — then shoot me.”
Best wishes to you, sir!
And may your worst nightmare not come true, but perhaps it might be okay if you turned into Opus instead?
And never forget the 3B’s. :)
I have nose that rivals Opus. But other than that he would be sufficiently cool to morph into, I suppose.
“It is also my understanding that the second injection will drive T-cell and memory immunity”
Are the first and second shots identical, interchangeable products, or is there some difference between them?
Same thing, just a booster exposure, keeps things revved up
“reflections” personal
“observational” science (controlled conditions)
