Five crew members on the Mission: Impossible set have reportedly quit after Tom Cruise had a second furious rant.
It had been claimed on Tuesday the actor, 58, gave staff an X-rated dressing down after he caught them breaking UK Covid rules at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
Now a source has said that after news of the first outburst was made public, there has been 'more anger' at the already 'tense' production, reports The Sun.
The insider said: 'Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw. Since it became public there has been more anger and several staff have walked.
'But Tom just can't take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He's upset others aren't taking it as seriously as him.'
They added it is Tom who feels responsible for the production after putting so much time and money into ensuring precautions are in place so the team can film.
MailOnline has contacted Tom Cruise's representatives for a comment.
It was previously reported that the Hollywood star scolded workers who flouted social distancing rules while filming at Warner Bros. Studios.
Invoking the no-nonsense attitude of his character, Ethan Hunt, the actor is said to have told them 'If I see you doing it again, you're f***ing gone,' according to The Sun.
The paper said the dressing down was recorded on an audio tape, in which he is heard to add: 'And if anyone in this crew does it, that's it — and you too and you too.
'And you, don't you ever f***ing do it again. We are not shutting this f***ing movie down.'
The American actor was reportedly angered after seeing the pair stood less than a metre away from each other

“Sounds like Tom takes his job seriously, knows how much it will cost if they get shut down.”
And AFAIK it’s HIS money. Why do people here have an objection to this? A breakout of illness could threaten the project, hurting a lot more people than just Cruise.
Even people who don’t think masks work must believe that distance does.
I personally don’t think masks of the type that the public wears helps much if at all medically but it does remind people to keep their distance.
“How can a man who got to bed Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman in their prime be so damn angry?”
Because he doesn’t do those things anymore? :(
Karen University could use a guy like that.
I’d have walked out during the first one.

I would make a guess that he has some financial input to the movie....maybe ten to twenty million, and just a simple delay of a week, could eat up three-million easily. If you had a snowball effect, going up to a month...that could be ten-million easily wasted.
For those who want to argue that it’s not necessary, any kind of stupid breach on rules could have legal implications, and I seriously doubt if any insurance company covers events like this. So it’s cash straight out of your pocket.
Don’t forget Mr. Briggs.
The classic series is still the best.
I like the music of Pablo Cruise.
Heheh. Money doesn't buy happiness or sanity or salvation.
There are plenty of dirt-poor self-important fools too.
One bit of perspective - if he’s got his own money tied up in it, and he’s the one actually writing the checks, then he’s probably a little wound up.
Some dogooder can come shut him down and say goodbye to all that money.
Would I have handled it that way, probably not. I’m also not a scientologist either, so there you go.
Hitchcock wrote all the checks for Psycho. All of them. Took a huge gamble, which of course paid off.
I heard some of the Tom Cruise rant on Tucker’s show last night. I have worked for a very large company and a very small company in the last half century. I have never heard, nor heard of such a rant anywhere. Anyone who would have made such a rant would have been fired as soon as it became known. It’s hard for me to believe that anyone making such a rant would be capable of anything but permanent constraint in a straight jacket.
Me as well, though I don’t go out of my way to find it. Maybe I should dig further.
It took Yacht Rock Radio to make me remember.
In the Navy, on a ship, these kind of rant go on all the time. The longer a ship is out at sea the more the rants. Heck, Cruse never used a cuss word in his rants..
Whatcha Gonna Do?
Scientologists are so emotionally stable. Like homosexuals.
In the piece on Tucker’s show there was at least one ‘F-word’ in every sentence.
I must have missed that.
I liked that movie :)
Sounds like he self-destructed after delivering his rant.//
Yes it does.
He must have mistaken himself for some authority he played in some movie.
