Five crew members on the Mission: Impossible set have reportedly quit after Tom Cruise had a second furious rant.
It had been claimed on Tuesday the actor, 58, gave staff an X-rated dressing down after he caught them breaking UK Covid rules at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.
Now a source has said that after news of the first outburst was made public, there has been 'more anger' at the already 'tense' production, reports The Sun.
The insider said: 'Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw. Since it became public there has been more anger and several staff have walked.
'But Tom just can't take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He's upset others aren't taking it as seriously as him.'
They added it is Tom who feels responsible for the production after putting so much time and money into ensuring precautions are in place so the team can film.
MailOnline has contacted Tom Cruise's representatives for a comment.
It was previously reported that the Hollywood star scolded workers who flouted social distancing rules while filming at Warner Bros. Studios.
Invoking the no-nonsense attitude of his character, Ethan Hunt, the actor is said to have told them 'If I see you doing it again, you're f***ing gone,' according to The Sun.
The paper said the dressing down was recorded on an audio tape, in which he is heard to add: 'And if anyone in this crew does it, that's it — and you too and you too.
'And you, don't you ever f***ing do it again. We are not shutting this f***ing movie down.'
The American actor was reportedly angered after seeing the pair stood less than a metre away from each other

The little gay guy sounded furious.
It was kind of funny listening to him try to be tough.
Toast Hanks is.
He can shove his Fauxy up his butt.
I can’t listen. The cringe is simply too much for me.
For pleasure....
Sounds like Tom takes his job seriously, knows how much it will cost if they get shut down.
I would get pissed if some employees thought nothing of breaking the rules and endangered the whole production.
Sounds like a good thing all the butthurt babies left
Is everybody masked in the movie?
Cruise is a pompous ass with a temper. I don’t blame his crew for walking away.
Scientology stole his mind years ago. BTW are those people that quit union?
Sounds like he self-destructed after delivering his rant.
It’s HUGELY hilarious, entertaining, and ironic to see this guy who gets paid millions of dollars to pretend to be a total badass hero, who in real life is an arrogant coward that doesn’t have the balls to stand up to real tyranny propped up by an idiotic narrative built around a virus that is >99% survivable.
What a loser. Shame too, because I really enjoyed past MI movies.
Why is it the biggest idiots also make the most money?
This was a well rehearsed virtue signaling publicity stunt to draw attention to a movie I will never watch.
Wow
I am On the other side of this.. Cruise put his own money up for this... he told them the rules... he is trying to save the movie industry which is a lot of jobs. All the staff knew what the rules were. Doesn’t matter if I agree With them or not - the important thing is the staff there agreed to them. I think He is stressed. Not the first boss to lose his temper from staff who don’t seem to care. Apparently he is being watched like a hawk. I am Team Cruise on this.
Cruise isn’t even in the same league as Jim Phelps.
Wouldn't he just use his Scientology-super-psychic-control-strength to overwhelm the resistive defenses of ordinary non-Thetan schlubs?
After I watched him in that horrible war of the worlds remake then I never liked his acting again. Once of the worst movies of all time.
This actor will self-destruct in five seconds.
