Any time a liberal candidate is elected to become President of the United States, gun rights and regulations take center stage. Historically, gun sales have surged in the two months between a Democratic presidential nomination and inauguration. And that’s precisely what we’re seeing right now.
A Quick Primer on the Second Amendment
Whenever gun laws and regulations become a key topic of conversation, it’s important to push past the filler and focus on the meat. In other words, start with the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights and what it says:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
That’s it -- nothing more and certainly nothing less. It’s 27 simple words, passed by Congress in 1789, ratified in 1791, and held as law for nearly two and a half centuries.
First off, the right to bear arms is an insurance policy against a government that could potentially become too onerous. And as the American government continues to grow and tighten its grip on its citizens, having the means to overthrow the government (if necessary) is more important and relevant than ever before. (Nobody is saying it’ll ever come to this, but having this option is something that’s integral to protecting the rights of the citizenry.)
Secondly, the right to bear arms gives citizens personal protection against domestic enemies. In the early days of this country, there was no state or national police force -- particularly in rural areas. Instead, wanted criminals had bounties placed on their names and armed citizens were expected to capture them. Armed citizens were also expected to protect their own homes (and help protect their neighbors in times of need).

Already have done that.
Had a young man looking at the Army meet with some current and former vets. He chose not to, because they all said “YOU DO NOT WANT TO COME IN IF YOUR ARE CONSERVATIVE!”
One guy I know filed his retirement papers just short of his 20. Said he was sick of the PC crap. He had hoped Trump would limit or stop it, but he never got around to it.
My wife is a teacher, and she has been telling our kids to never go into her profession unless you are planning to be a subversive. That is what she is doing, and it is taking a toll.
The problem is the .gov spending keeps the economy afloat. Walmart would not exist except for welfare payments, same with many other retailers. That would be, well not ok but sustainable if it was from tax receipts, but we are well past that point.
We will finally find out when the Democrats talk about “assault weapons”, they mean any semi-automatic weapon.
“Nothing like picking a fight with people who have guns.”
Yes, that is how stupid and arrogant they are. I once had a leftist family member insist to me that guns will be confiscated. I was equally insistent the no, they would not. I don’t think they got my meaning.
"...from my cold dead hands..."
Only for blood-MotherRome, and Jerusalem “Crucify Him, Crucify Him” Crime Family.
The Crime Families bloodlines that crucified The Christ, and tried Galileo remain.
You know this how ??
History will repeat itself, once again.
“And the cops and military will follow orders. The will kill you and everyone you care about.”
Love it when comicbook readers like you spew the nonsense that our entire military and law enforcement are the second coming of Hitler’s gestapo.
You mean wishful thinking. I’m with you in that.
You are so right!
Sloe Joe and The Hoe will NEVER be inaugurated!
NOT just gun rights all rights note election.
I am not sure the gun grab will set off something more dangerous, but it could. I think when it goes, it will be far more devastating than rioting. It will start somewhere small, hardly anyone will notice, then it will become something nobody thought possible. Historically speaking, that’s how it usually happens. Like the socialist democrat that started WWI, who would have thought a single act could result in 1/4 of the worlds population being wiped out and the everlasting environmental damage.
People underestimate the ‘quiet’ ones, the people that aren’t typing much on this board anymore. The ones getting outside VPN’s, learning new ways to communicate, and listening in small groups. You won’t see them. The media will scream about them, but it will look hollow. Many have military training, some more than just that, and I have an ominous feeling that there voice may yet be heard, or better said “felt”.
Be careful, claiming you have “rights” may soon be hate speech.
If that’s the shop my buddy took me to it has the most uncomfortable range I have used. The A/C blows a hundred miles an hour and is noisy and nasty smelling. Cold as can be.
“They have to come for guns now before people realize the government is doing stuff the people need guns for”
Coming for the guns IS something people need guns for.
It already is note media Facebook Twitter D.C. hacks it’s right up there with the race card.
With Biden in the WH expect the China flag to the hoisted.
The 2nd Amendment is not a God-given right nor are any of the other amendments. Rather, the 2nd Amendment is the protection from infringement by the federal government of the right to bear arms which is a necessary component of the God-given rights of life and liberty.
Guns, gun parts, private and mail order sales, ammo, financing of arms manufacturers and ammo manufacturers, transportation of anything related to guns, insurance requirements for rifle ranges and manufacturers, in-home gun safes...anything you can think of, they are going to go for it.
There was a running gun battle as Patriot Minutemen chased these gun grabbers back to Boston.
