Just a friendly reminder of the following chain of events which were predicted by several Flubros (I can’t remember who, but it happened):
1.Coronavirus scam
2.Weasel politicians from both parties
3.Absentee ballot laws change, which leads to massive ballot fraud
4.Joe Biden appears to win election, by stealing it from Trump

Anyone who says any of the following probably has the wrong mindset:
1.Government needs a common, sense pragmatic approach to handling Coronavirus
2.Government needs to help protect Americans from Coronavirus
3.Government can save the lives of Americans by doing the right Coronavirus policies
The statements above are the kind of trash that a RINO would say so they sound compassionate. The right thing to say has always been that “viruses come and go and individual Americans can, and must, handle this on their own without government help”. In addition fear has always been the fuel to grow tyrannies so any statements minimizing the danger of the Coronavirus would have been not only truthful, but helpful to our democracy.

6. Foreign interests, after Trump pulls out of Paris accord, use “Corona virus panic” as an alternative to knee-cap the American economy - the best wealth producer for all Americans.

Government can help by getting out of the way and using resources that individual states don’t have. As in what Trump has done - creating industry partnerships to make ventilators. Assisting in ramping up manufacturing of PPE. Removing red tape and incentivizing development of nee treatments and vaccines and assisting with their purchase. There is definitely a role for government it just isn’t in lockdowns, mask mandates, and destroying small business. Case in point - I make quilted items with a partner and we sell these items at a series of holiday craft shows. The income is my hobby and Christmas money so not essential but I sure miss it. Some at the shows this is their entire livlihood as is for those who out there shows on. This year one after another was cancelled due to restrictions by the state. All of them as there is a draconian limit on indoor gatherings. I went to the local grocery store yesterday and the parking lot was overflowing. The inside was as busy as our craft shows get, but the government has decided that apparently is ok where my source of holiday income is not. spit

I don’t disagree when you say removing red tape is a good thing that government can do. But “industry partnerships” to create ventilators? Those were not good...and partnership implies it was voluntary. These “partnerships” were forced by the war powers act.
The sad part is that he’s a willing dupe.
Asked my SIL this weekedn, “What would happen if everyone just stopped wearing masks?”

Speaking of ventilators, Illinois had ~3k of them before the crisis hit. That turned out to be more than enough even for the peak waves. We have never gone over 2K for all uses. We now have close to 6K ventilators. Better safe than sorry I guess..
